Politics are being transformed by religion, namely in China - within the next 30 years, one-third of this potential superpower could be Christian. If this religious transformation occurs, China would be one of the largest Christian nations in the world.

Great story, great writing, but somewhat difficult to remember everything since it is a fairly large amount of history

Historia
Is the Bible, the most influential book in world history, still relevant? Why do people dismiss it as being irrelevant, irrational, immoral, or all of these things? This explanation of the Book of Deuteronomy, the fifth book of the Bible, will demonstrate how it remains profoundly relevant - both to the great issues of our day and to each individual life. Do you doubt the existence of God because you think believing in God is irrational? This book will cause you to reexamine your doubts.

Don’t listen to EVERY single word. Embellishment on history is used
Revisado: 07-24-23
“The Torah is the first book/time in history… that I know of, that…”
^^^^ that is one of the most commonly used phrases he uses to prove that the Torah was first… which is a by itself an irrelevant point to make about the logic behind the meaning. I see it as a way to gloss over his lack of Middle East ancient history imo.
Everything else in the book is pretty good but he over uses embellishment like noted above to add an unnecessary point that didn’t lay out the rationality of the Bible verse… which was the whole point of the book.

Historia
This book is a relentless assault on the ideas of Krugman and on the Keynesian economics that would have the government direct the economy in order to maximize prosperity and prevent recessions. Economist Robert Murphy has an uncanny ability to recall Krugman's columns and interviews and puts his command of this material to devastating use.

Historia
The appearance of the famous (and massive) volumes of Rothbard's Austrian Perspective on the History of Economic Thought in a new edition is cause for great celebration. Every paragraph bursts with intellectual energy and the author's fiery passion to tell the listener the remarkable story of economics. Many reviewers have remarked that Rothbard's accomplishment seems superhuman. He seems to have read everything. His originality is overwhelming. His passion for liberty and integrity in science is evident.

For all economists.
Revisado: 01-26-22
This is a technical work going into the vast history of potential philosophical knowledge that has altered modern economics (up until the marginality revolution)
I highly recommend for all economists and historians alike to listen to this!

Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st-Century Economist

Historia
Economics is the mother tongue of public policy. It dominates our decision-making for the future, guides multi-billion-dollar investments, and shapes our responses to climate change, inequality, and other environmental and social challenges that define our times. Pity then, or more like disaster, that its fundamental ideas are centuries out of date yet are still taught in college courses worldwide and still used to address critical issues in government and business alike. That's why it is time, says renegade economist Kate Raworth, to revise our economic thinking for the 21st century. In Doughnut Economics, she sets out seven key ways to fundamentally reframe our understanding of what economics is and does. Along the way, she points out how we can break our addiction to growth; redesign money, finance, and business to be in service to people; and create economies that are regenerative and distributive by design.

Not Good Economic Analysis
Revisado: 11-07-21
Honest to god I don’t know where to start on how awfully inaccurate this book is, how it misinterprets the free market and effectively every single principle relating to the free market.
It is a (audio)book filled with only strawman arguments and looking at the comments of the people who love this book, it’s obvious they don’t know they are being shown strawman arguments and will take everything of Raworth’s book at her word.
Misleading is what this book is and I hope it’s influence is greatly reduced.
