One of the best books I've ever experienced.

I read this book years ago and loved it then. Listening to it performed was even better. I was so invested in the characters of this story I would think about it when not reading/listening. It is so easy to fall into the trappings of daily life and take for granted what matters. This book reminds me that the grind of "making a life" can sometimes take away from truly living and loving. I don't need many reminders, I have lived through enough ugly to cherish all that is beautiful about my life. However, this book sure does remind me how close to edge we all live and how quickly it could all change. I am so glad I listened again as I had forgotten the story it had been so long since I had read it. This one is going in my "To read again" folder for sure.

This book was just OK for me. I did enjoy the idea for the story itself. I thought it was pretty cool to have the past brought into the present like this. I did not however, enjoy the narrator. I've listened to another book by this author that had bad narration as well and although this one was better than that one, it still wasn't great. I feel like the narrator was really trying to project emotion into her reading but it just wasn't enough. That's really my biggest complaint though. The story flowed well, had a decent pace and was concluded nicely. I was gifted this book by the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. I don't know if I would recommend buying this book but it would be worth a credit.

My kind of book.

This is the second book in a series. I loved this book as much as the first and the third. I haven't gotten the others yet. The characters in this book are mysterious and bad ass. I love Brody and all his brooding. This book has a great, fast pace and touches enough on the previous book so you know what's going on and why. I was gifted this book by the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. I love this series and book and reccomend it to anyone who likes this genre. It does have some explicit sex scenes so if you're not into that then you may want to skip it. I think they're awesome though.

I had previously read this trilogy and liked them all very much. It was a different experience having them read to me and I loved it! It had been years since I had read them so it was like hearing it all for the first time. This first book in the series really sets the scene. All of the characters are done very well and the narration is just perfect. The "bad guys" in this story are just twisted, to say the least. I love Amy and Patrick and can relate to them so much as they remind me of myself and husband. This book is full of funny banter, demented games, tragic casualties and bad ass bold moves. I was gifted this book by the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. Here's how much I like this book. After getting this one finished I immediately went and purchased the other two books in the series and finished them in a matter of days!

This book just wasn't for me. For the first time ever I didn't finish the book. I wasn't a fan of the narration or the storyline. I didn't connect with the characters and wasn't into the pace. I finished almost eighty five percent of the book before I had to quit. This book was gifted to me from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. I actually feel bad that I got this one since I may have kept someone who would've enjoyed it more from getting it. It wasn't an awful book just not quite suited to me I guess.

Pretty darn good

I really enjoyed this book. The pace was great, the characters relatable and the narration was good as well. Zoe is a great lead character in the story and Greening is a great supporting character. I liked knowing who the bad guy is and hearing his point of view. Brando's part in the story was very sad but I liked the inclusion of him in the mix. I would've liked a little more as far as what Zoe does with her life afterwards other than the abrupt ending given but overall, this was a really good book. I was gifted this book by the author/publisher in exchange for and honest review. Even though it was given to me I definitely feel it is worth the cost or credit.

Smutty good fun!

What did you love best about Fifty Stories of Lewd Erotica?

The variety of stories. There was every kind of erotic story you could ask for. Some were funny, some were very dirty and some were a little weird.

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's impossible to say since there were literally fifty stories!

What aspect of the narrators’s performance would you have changed?

There were several narrators. Some were better than others of course but most were pretty good. There were one or two that weren't as good as the others but none were awful. I guess I would change the ones that didn't read with much feeling expressed in their tone.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Any which way but loose. 😀

Cool story, not so cool narration.

Would you listen to The Voice of Waterfalls again? Why?

Maybe, I really did enjoy the story. I just wasn't crazy about the narrator. I liked the supernatural element, I don't listen/read many of them, but it was good. I thought Anthony was a good character as well as Inga. The whole Zinger/Gonzalez crew were nuts and I thought it made for an interesting storyline.

What other book might you compare The Voice of Waterfalls to and why?

A Heather Graham book maybe? I don't and haven't read a lot of books that have a supernatural tone.

What three words best describe Michelle Marie’s performance?

Abrupt, monotonous, lackluster. I didn't think her performance was awful by any means. It just wasn't quite up to par with some of the outstanding ones that I have experienced prior. She did do separate voices for the characters that were okay. Her best one was Mom Cindy by far.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

From one hell to another.

My kind of twisted.

What made the experience of listening to Savage Highway the most enjoyable?

The many twists and turns of characters and finding out who is bad and who is not.

What other book might you compare Savage Highway to and why?

Somewhat similar to an Edward Lee kind of darkness but not as intense as Lee.

Which character – as performed by Scott Cummings – was your favorite?

Patty. I felt so sorry for her. I thought she was an absolute badass and was stoked for how things work out for her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to but couldn't. I did listen a second time though just to better "hear"the story. It's a bit complex the first time through!
