The first third is about the Punic wars. This was disappointing because I wanted what the title suggested - history after the Punic wars. And the content after the Punic wars was only tangentially related to the North African provinces. Mostly it was about the military and leaders who came from the African provinces, not so much the provinces themselves. Considering how wealthy this region was after the Punic wars, it is disappointing how hard it is to find content about the region.
