Excellent for the very young
Revisado: 12-03-08
It has a wonderful collection of short stories for very young children. I am an ESL teacher and my students love it. The stories get progressively more challenging, so it helps to improve the students' listening skill.

Not boring and easy to follow
Revisado: 03-21-08
This is definitely one of my greatest learning experiences with a new language. As each lessons is about 30 minutes in length, it is easy to sit through without too much stress. The pronunciation is easy to follow and the explanation is clear. That is to say, I enjoy learning the new language very much through this program.
Each successive lessons repeat a lot of what was taught in the previous lessons, so it makes it easier to remember the learned phrases and words. Every lesson starts with a Japanese conversation that probably sounds like gibberish, but by the end of the 30 minutes lesson, I guarantee that if you don't understand the whole conversation, you'll at least understand 80 to 90% of it, which I found very gratifying.
The only complaint I have is that the accompanied info is just a program user guide, rather than a learning aid, but I guess we really don't need a written learning aid for the program.
Highly recommended.

Maybe I wasn't in the mood to listen to a collection of monologues or something, I found this very boring. Each monologue was very short and there was no continuation. The monologue background naration (before every several monologues) definitely kills the mood. I would just pass on this one if I had known.

Historia
"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says ( Publishers Weekly).

Spell-binding
Revisado: 01-30-05
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite audiobooks. It is very very long. There are a lot of characters to follow on. The story is very intricate and full of twist and turns. The character developments are amazing. It is a good story even if you are not particularly familiar with spy's stories, like I am.

Beautiful story

The is the second of the series. Try "Dragon of Doom" first if you haven't yet, although it is not necessary to listen to them in order since there is brief introduction about the background and the characters weaves into the story as well. I highly recommend it for young adults.

Wonderful story

This story is perfect for young adults or adults who are young at heart. The light hearted story has perfect voice casting. I highly recommend it. This is the first story of the series and I belive there are three. The second is the Weeping Werewolf. The third is not available on audible yet but I'll be the first one to download it when it is available.

Valley girl meets vampire? Buffy is blissfully unaware that there's trouble brewing, even though 4 teenage girls in L.A. have disappeared in the past 2 months, until she meets a stranger named Merrick. He tells her that she bears the mark of the order, which means she's the only one who can stop the vampires who are terrorizing her city.

Sound quality could be better
Revisado: 01-10-05
The story is exciting, and of course, the story is about a teenage girl fighting vampires. I think the story is very good in portraying Buffy immaturity at the beginning to becoming a thoughful being, and her struggles to make sense of things. There are some pauses here and there but it doesn't diminish the overall naration of the book. However, since it is only available in format 2, the sould quality at times is muddle.

Historia
The tales of the Norse gods, of the giants, demons, trolls and dwarves, still have the power to fascinate more than a thousand years after they were first told. Here are the stories of the one-eyed god Odin, Tyr the god of war, of the cunning Loki, of Thor the mighty thunder god and a host of others.

Confusing at a times but exciting stories
Revisado: 01-10-05
The audiobook is divided into various sections and each section is a different story. The sections can be listened alone but the later sections should be listened in sequence to make the story flow better. The name of all the gods at times were confusing but after a while, the main gods pretty much appear in most sections, such as Odin, Thor, Loki and Baldur. There are giants, magic cloaks, giant wolf and all sort of mytical creatures. The story gets more interesting when it progresses. Overall, it is a very good collection of stories.
