The chakral floodgates opened and the tears started to flow once I realized that the testimony was a witness to the power of love. The storyline was clever, and I thoroughly enjoyed the reflective and energetic performance. Pearl Cleage fan through and through.

Relevant, Relatable and Enjoyable

I enjoy this podcast. The topics are relevant and relatable. The perspective is thoughtful, insightful and full of wisdom. The host is delightful and her delivery is personable and humorous. Plus her voice is warm and soothing. It was exactly what I needed for this time to quiet the raging vibrations I was experiencing in the moment. Thanks Candace for a job well done.

I feel elated, like someone who caught The Holy Ghost. Reading Will's story at this time is both syncronistic and serendipitous as I prepare to take my dive into the world of Vipassanna and spiritual exploration. I'm reading this book as a fan of Will, Jada, and one who tune in to Red Table Talk. I'm always opposed to the controversy, and after reading Will's story, I am confident that Will, his family and his career will be elevated by the experience of the current situation, and he will find safe footing. Much like Will did at the end of this book, after the jump. I love y'all, not for what you do, but for the ascendant spirits that you are. Continued miracles and blessings. Ase

Soft & Elegant

The story was sweet and tender. Her telling of THEM endeared me to HER Miles Davis. I'd read Cicely Tyson's memoir, JUST AS I AM, and had to chuckle at the mention of Thanksgiving at Bill Cosby's house. Now that I think about it, that's when and where Cicely and Miles got married. I thought about the ring that went missing, and the supernatural way in which it reappeared. In light of this story, I wonder what it all meant, on both ends. in other words, what message were the Spirits trying to convey,

I thoroughly enjoyed this book...the telling and the reading. The author was warm, open, honest and unassuming. The love that she and Miles shared oozed from the pages. And the dignity and grace which she allowed herself, Miles, and even her colleagues was remarkable. Thank you ma'am for sharing your story.

This story contributes so much to humanity. it's full of honesty, love, family, hope and grace. I've been elevated each time I've read it, feeling more loving, kind and hopeful that the world can be better than it appears. I believe this story could inspire confidence, power and deeper a deeper understanding of what's possible and what each of us contribute.

This novel tells a captivating story, and Lisa Renée Pitts is the perfect narrator to tell it. I hung on her every word, and eagerly followed every twist and turn. It is among my favorite novels and performances, and I will likely read again.

Shocking!

I remember Marvin Gaye, how we all loved him, his music. I remember how even my mother swooned over him, and how he was always the standard of beauty for the women in my family. I also remember exactly where I was when an announcement came over the radio that he had been killed by his father. This story answers a lot of questions that I've had and filled in a lot of gaps. I appreciate the incredible amount of detail and personal accounts. The story is very well written. Though it burst my bubble and leaves me very sad.
