Historia
The city of Celum is not much like Liscor at all. While Erin is surrounded by familiar, human faces, she’s far from home and without her inn. At the same time, a certain ill-tempered Lyonette is squatting in Erin’s inn, and Goblins are on the move. The Goblin Lord’s threat reaches across the entire region, and the Redfang tribe has rallied against him with the Floodplains tribe, although their Chieftains do not agree on some crucial matters. This winter, there is only snow, Goblins, magic, and iambic pentameter.

Historia
We've come a long way in the forty years since the Shongairi attacked Earth, killed half its people, and then were driven away by an alliance of humans with the other sentient bipeds who inhabit our planet. We took the technology they left behind, and rapidly built ourselves into a starfaring civilization. Because we haven't got a moment to lose. Because it's clear that there are even more powerful, more hostile aliens out there, and Earth needs allies. But it also transpires that the Shongairi expedition that nearly destroyed our home planet ... wasn't an official one.

when series change readers there should to be a rule that the new person at least listen to the last reader. I like Weber's books but this series has an incredible amount of fluff like multiple instances 20 minutes discussing a single point that could have been covered in 2

narration killed it for me.
Revisado: 08-06-21
there should be a law that requires new narrators of a series to listen to the last audio book. For "Roe jer" to become "Roger". "eye core" to become "ick or" was really distracting. I absolutely love the first 3 books of the last series. these 2 narrators didn't even bother getting the pronuciation of one of the lead character's name coordinated.

It's been 30 years since the apocalypse and 15 years since the murder of the last human being at the hands of robots. Humankind is extinct. Every man, woman, and child has been liquidated by a global uprising devised by the very machines humans designed and built to serve them. Most of the world is controlled by an OWI - One World Intelligence, the shared consciousness of millions of robots uploaded into one huge mainframe brain.

not very good
Revisado: 08-27-20
In a summary its a 1930s radio show with DC comic heroes sprinkled in. Too much voice acting and sound effects...not enough story/action. if you want an old radio show, they are probably available. I should have listened to the preview.

Horrible... Avoid unless you are 14 year old boy
Revisado: 11-08-15
What would have made Alice better?
More scifi less hero gets harem... Less right wing philosophy... That sort of stuff is okay as long as it's only a small part.. Unfortunately it's a majority of this book. The author actually whines about Obama's birth certificate. The female characters are ridiculous.. Pretty, weak, and fighting to become part of the sexual partner rotation. And it comes up every chapter.
What was most disappointing about Charles Lamb’s story?
Nearly everthing... Not enough fighting.. To much sex.. Seriously its supposed to be scifi... Put in graphic sex if you want (game of thones)...but it can't be a majority of a story. I am an independent and don't mind some anti-liberal language... But this was just plain silly.
How could the performance have been better?
Better hero, better logic, less rhetoric, write book for someone older than 14. Not having the lead character become king / president. Not having 2 17 year olds fight to come part of a harem.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The premise was good or I wouldn't have bought.
Any additional comments?
Don't bother... Go with something like safehold by Weber or the Expanse.. Or hammer slammers...

Not if he reads it.
What was most disappointing about Joe Cautilli and Marisha Cautilli ’s story?
Didn't use a professional narrator
Would you be willing to try another one of Joseph Cautilli’s performances?
Never
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger....he stutters and mispeaks a lot
Any additional comments?

I'm done with this series
Revisado: 05-29-13
Would you try another book from B. V. Larson and/or Mark Boyett?
No. Lead character has become a wacko. Contemplates sex with every female he comes across.and every female tries to sleep with him..which really is just distracting. Punishes others for his mistakes. I feel like I made a serious mistake following this series.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Love space battles
What three words best describe Mark Boyett’s performance?
Great character voices
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Some space warfare
