Historia
Many consider this rich social commentary to be Jane Austen's finest novel. It is certainly among her more famous ones. Austen sets her entertaining study of manners and misconceptions against the backdrop of a class-conscious society in 18th century England.

Historia
When copywriter Victor Dean falls to his death on the stairs of Pym's Advertising Agency, everyone assumes it was an unfortunate accident. His replacement doesn't think so and begins asking a lot of questions. The new man is something of a mystery to his colleagues, and he certainly dresses well considering his meagre writer's salary.

We NEED the unabridged version
Revisado: 09-24-17
What did you love best about Murder Must Advertise (Dramatized)?
Dorothy Sayers is my favorite. Her characters are charming and yet many sided. The plot is not predictable and full of interesting twists.
What other book might you compare Murder Must Advertise (Dramatized) to and why?
The dramatized version is well done and entertaining and reminds me of the old radio dramas
What does Ian Carmichael and Full Cast bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great cast well done The unabridged is still far better. I keep hoping you will have it available. I purchased the unabridged years ago and the last first disc was broken and the last disc was lost I keep hoping.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Love Sir Peter
Any additional comments?
Please make the unabridged available.

Needs to be re-recorded
Revisado: 09-12-16
The audio was very old, changed tones and volumes multiple time and at times had an almost chirping sound in the background.

Hamish is amazing!
Revisado: 02-10-14
Would you listen to Death of an Addict again? Why?
Death of an Addict has many complex characters and reading it several times gives you new an interesting insights to the world of Hamish Macbeth..Hamish is so refreshing and fun because he is at peace with himself and yet driven to do the right thing. He also has his own flaws which make him more real and lovable.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hamish is my very favorite but the doctor and his wife are always there with wisdom and comfort.. I still love Priscilla and hope someday she will warm up. She is kind and wise and beautiful and loves the pets she just needs to accept who Hamish is and not try to change him.
What does Shaun Grindell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I love Shaun's reading because it is captures Hamish in a special way. He sounds more like Robert Carlyle who plays Hamish in the BBC series and it is more casual than Graham's voice. I do want to say that Graham has a wonderful voice and makes me still want me to listen to every Hamish book I can.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Hamish fights the odds and goes for truth.
Any additional comments?
Hope you fill in the blanks and get the other Hamish books. M. C Beaton is amazing I love the Agatha Raisin and Poor Relations books too!! Thanks for the fun!!

Historia
Garrison Keillor's latest book is about the wedding of a girl named Dede Ingebretson, who comes home from California with a guy named Brent. Dede has made a fortune in veterinary aromatherapy; Brent bears a strong resemblance to a man wanted for extortion who's pictured on a poster in the town's post office. Then there's the memorial service for Dede's aunt Evelyn, who led a footloose and adventurous life after the death of her husband 17 years previously.

I found this story offensive
Revisado: 03-12-12
What disappointed you about Pontoon?
I thought the sex life of seniors is not a joke and if he valued the women the story was about the author wouldn't make her look so crude.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Elizabeth Gaskell
What didn???t you like about Garrison Keillor???s performance?
I have enjoyed Garrison in the past and expected a charming, funny tale like his past stories. Peter Mayle does this well and Garrison does in other books.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Pontoon?
I didn't finish the book .
Any additional comments?
I will be more selective in the future. Ratings are difficult because we all look at things in different ways.
