Historia
Explore, rebuild, restore. Those were Gabriel's priorities as commander of the Reclaimer mission. When you're shot out of the sky it's time to reevaluate your options. Lost, alone, and low on supplies, Gabriel finds himself in the bones of the old world. A beautiful, pristine place with the clearest skies and cleanest air. A wild and dangerous place where nature and magic have regained their hold. Monsters, beasts, and demons too stubborn to die out threaten humanity's future. But when faced with a Reclaimer, even those nightmares will learn fear.

Revisado: 01-09-25
it's been a wild ride through training, but reclaiming the earth is even better! I am very excited to see where the story goes from here, and who the next people we find are going to be.

Historia
Inside the Dragon's Tower, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. To win, climbers from all corners must brave the harrowing floors one by one. Each floor is tougher and the higher the floor, the less success there is. After a hundred floors filled with unique challenges, a prize awaits—a dragon's egg. To Tem, the Dragon's Tower seems simple from his distant farmland on the frontier. The harsh truth of the situation involves politics, personal sacrifices, and unfathomable struggles to keep advancing.

Pretty Good
Revisado: 01-11-23
If you're a fan of Daniel Wisniewski, then it's pretty good indeed. I sit on the fence with him as a performer. His voice is good, his character voices and accents are good, his rhythm is sorta weird and can take some time to get used to. Elizabeth Plant was great, no complaints at all with her performance.
Now, on to the story that Han Yang has crafted.
It's a well paced story, I didn't think it had a slow part that dragged on, the characters are fleshed out well enough to understand their motivations, if a bit straight forward and predictable. It is a tower story, but with much of the plot and intrigue outside of the tower. I would say the tower is more of a subplot than the main plot, but the story is good. Han has created a world with a lot of potential to expand upon, with a tower system that he could dive deeper into, and a kingdom with political intrigues and a burgeoning magic system that could support many stories of its own.
Overall it's definitely worth a credit. I did receive a copy for review, but I would have spent a credit on this omnibus and been happy for the 30 hours...even if it does take a bit to get used to Wisniewski's reading rhythm.
Anyways, that's my two cents, hope it helps.

Historia
Our hero entered the store that fateful evening and became involved in a life-or-death game arranged by a mysterious creature. He survived, but instead of being on Earth, he now appeared to be in a different world, with other people who had passed a similarly deadly test. Some made it through by using force, some by using their cunning.... Everyone has their own story, but they all have one thing in common - there are no good people among them.

great story, good performance, iffy accents
Revisado: 05-17-22
Look, it's good, real good, I think everyone should give it a shot because it's really good.
You get used to the accents, arguably easier that that of Jax in another author's audiobook, but I gotta say it...Tristan, you got talent brother, great voices, unique and easily discernable from one another...but to me the Russian came off a bit like campy Hollywood Transylvanian.
Is it bad?
Hell no. Tristan has that talent thing, and he great material from Sergei and Anton. If anything it's just a nitpicky thing that I probably would have overlooked if my non LitRPG/gamelit/progression fantasy wife hadn't rode with me in the car and said, "Ooh this one has vampires!" I ain't mad at her though, it's still a damned fine story.

My name is Randy—the noun, not the adjective. As a professional writer and accidental barbarian, I should be a prime candidate to be portaled to a LitRPG fantasy world known as Genera. It should be a no-brainer for me to grab the nearest weapon and start slaying bloodthirsty goblins, gaining levels, solving puzzles, and fighting my way to the top of a mysterious tower with seven distinct floors. Technically, I was born for this. Or so I thought. Unlike actual video games, if someone dies here in Genera, they die here for good. And I don't want to die.

Harmon Cooper really went for it!
Revisado: 05-06-22
Look, we all know Harmon is a good writer, but this is a masterpiece. Smarmy and self deprecating with a pop culture onslaught somebody gave our man a hammer and he's gone a dinging bells...all of them. Daniel Wisniewnski goes just as hard as Harmon as well, great performance! Rebecca Woods shines equally bright even with less dialogue, y'all just get this, and enjoy.

Making his own decisions for the first time, an adrift Trent latches onto the quest in his status telling him to survive alone on the wilds for two weeks. Revisado: 04-27-22
I think my only complaint is that this book absolutely flew by. I am definitely looking forward to where J.T. is taking us. The characters become more fleshed out as the plot thickens, and the new characters are intriguing...which means book 3 oughta be pretty dang good! The voice acting has been absolutely top shelf stuff across both books as well, great job!

Historia
Monsters and beasts roamed the earth and were slain by soldiers and adventurers who were, in turn, killed by stronger threats. Heroes and villains created new epics and were forgotten when their successors appeared. This was the way of the Infinite World. Summoned into this chaotic place, a young boy with no name and no past must learn to survive. Bound to a master who doesn't care whether he lives or dies, he must become stronger. The question is: how?

A Strong Runner for One of My Favorites
Revisado: 04-25-22
As always, posting from the wife's account.
This is a very solid litRPG, not overburdened with stats but strong skill and attribute base. the MC is absolutely OP, but at such a low level, and lack of skills that it leaves him believably disadvantaged and even in danger. Aside from some profanity the book is clean enough for the kiddo to listen along in the car without me having to pause, skip, or have an unfortunately early birds and bees conversation.
The characters develop nicely with enough depth that even the bit support characters are believable, with the core characters engaging, and exciting. As the plot develops it hints at the overall larger world, which is promising deep history and lore.
I am excited for the next book. Definitely read this.

Wow! This one is so much better than the name!
Revisado: 04-04-22
It's true, the title is a little tongue in cheek, but the story is good. Good character progression, romance, and world building. I enjoy the nod to newly launched games and their immediate updates and patches, it keeps the pacing correct and prevents the ever so popular, yet controversial, OP MC. If that's your shtick hey more power to you, but even you will enjoy this book.
The comedy is well timed to keep the book a fun read, balanced nicely with level and skill progression to keep the action interesting. There is a romantic relationship but nothing explicit, just a couple of fade to black scenes. I am looking forward to the next book in this series, it is a VR book, but even those that don't care for VR might still enjoy this one as the "real world" is just small slice of life moments and the majority of the book is in game.
I did receive a free copy of this book, but would never sully myself by being bought, my review is as honest as I know how to be.
