Stunning Historical Romance with a focus on mental health
Revisado: 01-13-25
A Stunning novella! I absolutely loved the writing but found this particular reader a bit difficult to endure at first. But it didn't effect the story. I'll be listening to this one again and again!

Captivating and good performance
Revisado: 01-11-25
This was my introduction to Mimi Matthews and I was pleasantly surprised! I loved the storytelling and the characters. I would have enjoyed more character building. I love a second chance romance but, SPOILER ALERT, this one has a third act break and I didn’t care for that. The reader did a fantastic job although her voice for Sebastian made me chuckle a few times. Overall though, I throughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it! On to another Mimi Matthews book!

Revisado: 08-18-20
Apart from the singing (only because I don't care for it anyways) this was a beautifully done recording by the narrator. I felt Rob Inglis embodied the tone of the story perfectly. I love reading Tolkiens work, this is the first time I had listened to one if the LOTR books and it did not disappoint.

Enjoyable & Entertaining
Revisado: 08-05-20
At first I struggled to get into this story which was a combination of keeping up with who the characters were, story lines that never tied up (the lemar and Hector) and trying to understand the exact distinction of the different people groups.
I did enjoy the main characters and the overall story. But the timeline of the battle and things happening within it did not seem realistic. However I did really appreciate the originality and the unexpected twists and turns.
Overall a good read and entertaining but not one I'll be coming back to. Sam Hawke does seem to be a promising author and I will be interested in seeing her future works.

Historia
Many Christians are under the impression that God's grace and his favor are two different things - that while his grace may be a gift, his favor is something we must earn. This misunderstanding has led to destructive teachings about "prosperity" and blessings, and ultimately to lives that feel unfulfilled and inadequate. Pastor Greg Gilbert puts favor back in its rightful place, as God's gift through Jesus Christ. He shows how the favor that Jesus earned through his perfect life and sacrificial death becomes ours the moment we believe.

So encouraging
Revisado: 07-22-20
Greg Gilbert has written an incredibly encouraging book about finding rest in our favor with God because of Christ. I reccomend this book for any believer especially those (like me) who struggle to believe that God really does find favor in his children.
