Great until it slowed

The beginning was amazing, the humor was 5 stars. I easily could have given this 5 stars, but around chapter 20/21 the storyline slows and, for me, lost the same appeal as the rest of the story.
If chapters 23 to epilogue were edited into one final chapter, it could have been perfect. Loved the narrators, loved the outline, it was just the ending chapters.

"romance" lacking

I genuinely don't think the author has been in love before, this truly lacked the essence of a relationship. I got the feeling of them being friends with drama baggage and not lovers. needed more love in-between or before to tie them together. I'm all for a miscommunication, but this came off as childish and petty. great audio ppl though.

I actually really liked this story but the spicy scenes took a bit away from it instead of enhancing it like it should have. they felt cheesy. and the beast/dragon was annoying, both words and performance. I would have given higher otherwise, but I won't be reading more.

Promising start but quickly turned annoying

First off, the chapter openers are annoying AF, they feel like I'm being lectured to and really take me out of the story. Second, I was really looking forward to the story but the kid basically runs the show. the conflict and resolution come off really juvenile to me. Wouldn't recommend.

needs a female narrator and a plot tweak. (spoiler)

I couldn't get past that she new very well how to find him and only tried over the phone. fmc lied and created her own mess then regrets it later. I feel like any real mmc would not just forgive that. the female read parts were hard to listen to but the ex and mothers voices I just skipped over entirely. I would have returned this if I had bought it with a credit. don't recommend.

overall just meh. book 3s ending needed more detail and attention to the fmcs feelings instead of just dismissing them. skipped the overweight story, cuz I'm sorry but that's not for me. other one was meh overall.

I got bored

The idea the book is based on feels inconsequential to me. FMC could have just not done the spell, or just completed the mating once she knew the issues. I got bored with the story, it just wasn't for me I guess. Loved the male narrator, wished I had been more into it.

I loved the first half, had to push through the second half. honestly needed more angst and less lazy nickname choice. Loved both narrators though.
I don't particularly appreciate when a MMC calls a girl a slut or whore, but I get the mafia context. though it didn't fit here for at all as the girl was a virgin and it was meant as an endearment.
also kind of irked me that she just started getting to be her own person and she was told how to behave in a different way. story had so much potential left out right here.

I liked the story. not intense but relatable. FMC had her issues but they made sense with the story. wasn't a fan of the MMCs voice, sounded like a Californian surfer dude sometimes.
