is rare that an author can read their own material and have a story where the to be told. well written, insightful and emotionally moving. thought-provoking how we will influence and have been influenced by others as well as how our lives intersect with other people.

as usual excellent
Revisado: 02-15-22
have listened to many of Clive Cussler books on tape. This isn't excellent book. The storyline is good, adventure and Intrigue good the intensity of the reading can get to be a little lunch but that is part of the writing. Narrator does an excellent job especially with foreign languages in keeping characters straight.

While Congress debates the merits of continued funding for the stealth bomber, sinister forces have their own goals in mind. During a training exercise, a B-2 bomber disappears. When search efforts produce no evidence that the bomber crashed, the US Air Force has no choice but to acknowledge that one of its most secret and high-tech aircraft has been hijacked.
Recovery of the B-2 and its crew becomes the president's highest priority, and the Kremlin claims no knowledge of the missing aircraft. Finally, intelligence leads to what at first seems a very unlikely suspect: Cuba.

Lies about marriage are rampant in our culture and the church. They’re killing marriages. But the corresponding truths can strengthen marriages and even save the most troubled relationships. In this audiobook, marriage experts Greg Smalley and Robert Paul identify the lies, explain how they work to destroy marriages, and reveal the truths that not only can improve marriages, but rescue those that are floundering.

books that child saying that the individual is very important and you must be taken care of and somehow at the end comes up with the saying that you are one and you must look out for one another. as books do that claimed to represent the Bible there are several major theological issues and scriptures that are left out, conveniently supporting or taking away other truth. having read any other books on marriage I am disappointed by this one and the program that it supports.

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Take a pass on this one.
Revisado: 11-16-19
As only Malcolm gladwell can do, he shines his light on thoughtful and interesting concepts, situations, events and actions. He focus only on those issues, concepts or the things that he shines his light upon. Ultimately coming to the point that social order...government...others are wrong. He does not shine his light on individual responsibility and accountability in the situations unless it is convenient and supports the topic. Understanding strangers is a blame game when we should focus on is clear communications, stop asking WHY (a defensive question), ash how and stop and listen.

Great Story, gritty and plausible
Revisado: 03-20-19
All great and very good stories and lies intermingle truth and and fiction. This book is no different.
1st, I employed the reading in performance which is impeccable especially with the number of characters who are involved.
2nd come on this is a Great story which uses current and recent history as a gateway into life in Mumbai and the region.
3rd, the repeated themes such as loving India, loving Mumbai, loving Karla...and the moral justification is a bit mind numbing, preaching and distracting.
4th, using flowery, descriptive words far less f@*!$ language would have made this much more enjoyable, true novel and realistic. Having lived or been in India, the majority of people do not speak like this.
Lastly, this is not a book for hope, peace loving or fact finders but brings the reader into the amazing humanity called India.

You already have what it takes to finish well! Christians were never meant to “just get by”. You were created to rise above adversity and display greatness! In this compelling audio book, best-selling author John Bevere explores what it takes to finish well. More than a strategy for survival, Relentless offers you a fresh new mind-set, one that enthusiastically declares with the apostle Paul, “I delight in difficulties.” Its biblically grounded truths will equip you to flourish in every season of life.

Not Biblical and Name it or Clame It
Revisado: 02-07-19
There are a lot of good points and and interest but the author immediately inserts the word relentless in place of actual biblical intrepretation. Uses greek and hebrew when it fits. Uses various bible versions to construct his reality.
1. Says you should have the power of Christ and more, if you don't and can't heal ....yourself, it is because of sin and you are likely not saved.
2. You have the power, not it comes from God via others and is not related to helping or beeing dependant on others.
3. Says if someone is causing you to sin, you need ot get away from them and there is no personal interaction.

Historia
Britain's Special Air Service - or SAS - was the brainchild of David Stirling, a young, gadabout aristocrat whose aimlessness in early life belied a remarkable strategic mind. Where most of his colleagues looked at a battlefield map of World War II's African theater and saw a protracted struggle with Rommel's desert forces, Stirling saw an opportunity: Given a small number of elite, well-trained men, he could parachute behind enemy lines and sabotage their airplanes and war matériel.

Outstanding history, detail and insight
Revisado: 10-30-17
Ben Maceintyreid excellent and brings the understated British war heroes to life. Their perseverance, self sacrifice and espri de corps silently shifted WW II in Europe and this book brings valor in the face of pure evil in war.
If you want to understand special operations and the men in these services, this is the book. Yo will catch a glymps of the moral, heroic, self deprecating, sometimes reprehensable, unpredictable and unbelievable human feats possible.

Historia
In January 1956, a tragic story flooded headlines around the world. Five men, spurred by a passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ, ventured deep into the jungles of Ecuador. Their goal: to make contact with an isolated tribe whose previous response to the outside world had been to attack all strangers. Through Gates of Splendor, the story of Nate Saint, Roger Youderian, Ed McCully, Pete Fleming, and Jim Elliot, was first recorded in 1956 by Jim's widow, Elisabeth.

Revisado: 08-04-17
Like life, it is not a partucular event but the journey and our response that is crucial. Elizabeth provides a personal yet objective telling using diaries and records from those involved. The reader carefully closes with the participants who's lives are being intentionally lived. The prologs are epic and place the these and so many events in amazing perspective. Submit to God and know He is our Lord, Savior and ultimately carrying out His will his His glory.
