Historia
In the title story, “The Princess Who Sang Like a Frog”, a princess leaves her home after a public humiliation, certain she does not deserve happiness. Armed only with poetry and music, she ventures into the unknown to seek the mystery of her unusual identity. Other stories in this sparkling collection include “The Yellow Bird”, “The Woodcutter’s Daughter”, and “The Joyfish”. Callie Cardamon conjures all the wonder, magic, and happy endings of classic fairy tales, but with the insight and wisdom to help us navigate our modern times with strength, trust, and kindness.

A Startling Experience
Revisado: 06-05-22
Cardamon's "The Princess Who Sang Like a Frog" is everything I'd hoped it would be and everything I hadn't known I needed it to be. It is more than a fairy tale: lyrically written and narrated, a joy to experience, but also unpredictable in terms of both plot and character. Its lessons and the revelations that come with them will stay with me for a while.
It's not often that I read something so entertaining as well as so deeply, profoundly moving. Kudos to the author for a stunning collection.
