Historia
Caroline Wilton has no time for romance. She’s too busy running her family’s bar to even think about dating. She’s also one of Starfall Point’s resident witches, responsible for keeping the local ghost population in check. But even the most magical of witches can use a shoulder to lean on, which is what happens when Ben Hoult, the handsome doctor she never quite got over, walks back into her life. Ben is a single dad now, and as he and Caroline reconnect, they discover that they both have a knack for helping and protecting the people near and dear to them.

I love Frogmoton Farm!!!
Revisado: 04-28-24
The Frogmorton Farm chronicles are Jodi Taylor at her absolute best. I have listened to the prior stories dozens of times. If only there were more full length installments. I’m delighted that the wonderful Lucy Price Lewis has remembered the voices of the characters in this one. I only hope when Tanya reappears that she will regain her German accent. She always factored so well into the charm and humor of the characters. I’m very, very hopeful that this isn’t the end of the story for these characters and Frogmorton Farm.

Sandra Foster studies fads and their meanings for the HiTek corporation. Bennett O'Reilly works with monkey group behavior and chaos theory for the same company. When the two are thrust together due to a misdelivered package and a run of seemingly bad luck, they find a joint project in a flock of sheep. But a series of setbacks and disappointments arise before they are able to find answers to their questions - with the unintended help of the errant, forgetful, and careless office assistant Flip.

Not like her others
Revisado: 11-11-21
For some reason I was expecting a story of the quality of Connie Willis’s other works, such as All Clear, The Doomsday Book, and To Say Nothing of the Dog. This was well-read but a rather annoying take on modern society. I did enjoy the fad tidbits, though.

Left hanging
Revisado: 01-18-21
I agree with other reviewers that the beginning and ending ruined the story. It was a somewhat unique take on WW2, and those are hard to find. However, I felt that a lot of the story was dropped along the way, particularly in the last few chapters. It seemed that the author was suddenly in a hurry to wrap it all up, and ran out of time. I was left at the end of the last chapter thinking, “is that it???” Glad I only paid $3.95.

Historia
It's Christmas time again, and all is not well at Frogmorton Farm. Jenny and Russell's daughter, Joy, is growing up. Not quickly enough as far as she's concerned but far too quickly according to Russell. Father and daughter are at odds, and suddenly the outlook is very dark indeed. That is until Thomas comes to the rescue. A Frogmorton Farm short.

Back to Frogmorton! At last!
Revisado: 01-06-21
I was so excited to go back to Frogmorton Farm as the series are my absolute favorite Jodi Taylor books. I wish we didn’t have to skip so many years in the saga, but beggars can’t be choosers. I was delighted to hear the wonderful Lucy Price Lewis go back to the voices of the first book, The Nothing Girl. I’m hoping that references to someone paying for the skulduggery and mention of someone being a “nothing” means there will be a full length follow-up. Thank you, Jodi and Lucy!

I Wish I Knew The Correct Order!
Revisado: 10-07-19
I love, love, love Molly Harper's books, and Amanda Ronconi is absolutely the best narrator on Audible! My biggest complaint is that I can't seem to listen to these books in order! I just finished this book, and at the end it has an excerpt from what it says is the next book in the Half Moon Hollow series, "Book Three", which is listed on Audible's page as Book 9. The story jumps all over the place if you try to listen to them in the order given by Audible. It definitely spoils some of the fun and a lot of the surprises. Help!

Margot Cary has spent her life immersed in everything Lake Sackett is not. As an elite event planner, Margot's rubbed elbows with the cream of Chicago society and made elegance and glamour her business. She's riding high until one event goes tragically, spectacularly wrong. Now she's blackballed by the gala set and in dire need of a fresh start - and apparently the McCreadys are in need of an event planner with a tarnished reputation.

Love, Love, LOVE This Series!
Revisado: 08-01-19
I have no excuse, but I only recently discovered Molly Harper and the Southern Eclectic series. I am totally hooked (this from a New Englander)! The quirky characters and Ms. Harper's hilarious way with words has made it a real joy. Amanda Ronconi is probably the best narrator of any of the hundreds of Audible books I have listened to during my daily commute. I am quickly burning through all of the available titles - I truly hope more of this series is coming!

Awful narration
Revisado: 07-08-19
I love the Rose Gardner series. However, once the reader finishes Thirty-Three and a Half Shenanigans, there is no way to purchase this novella on Kindle. I thought I could get by without it, but unlike the prior novellas, the events in this one are referenced repeatedly in Thirty-Four and a Half Predicaments. I gave up trying to guess what had happened in between and broke down and purchased this in the only format available, the audiobook. I stuck it out, for the reasons I've stated, and because I want to move on to Thirty-Four, but the narrator is TERRIBLE. Each character's voice is exactly the same, but even more distracting is the fact that the narrator's intonation is exactly the same, over and over, regardless of what is going on in the story. She could be reading a children's book. I can't tell if I would like the Taylor and Helena series, as it is so bad. This purchase was a matter of necessity (seriously, Amazon, you couldn't put this little book out in Kindle version???) but I will avoid this narrator in the future.

Love this series - one narrator issue
Revisado: 03-14-19
I really love this series, and am avidly working my way through them. Great stories, and interesting characters. One issue: several of the main characters are from California, but the narrator attributes an "American" accent to them that is straight out of Appalachia. It's really a distraction from the story whenever these characters speak. Wish the narrator had more range with American accents.

Excellent story, poor narration
Revisado: 02-13-19
I really liked this book, and have enjoyed Victoria Laurie books in the past. The plot is great - keeps the listener riveted. However, the narration was poor - the narrator sounded like she was reading a book report, with periodic inflection here and there. Also, the strong Midwest accent is very distracting and out of place given the story's location. Hope for a better narrator for more Victoria Laurie books!
