Carolyn Brown has done it again. Built a story that you want to become a part of. Has you read you feel like you are one of the neighbors in town. Her characters demonstrate the values our poor world is lacking. Love, friendship, commitment, integrity, patience, kindness and a lot of joy. Thank you for wringing these wonderful books. And Brittany Pressley is the BEST narrator! I could listen for days!!

This story was sooooooo good, as always. I love how Carolyn weaves love, wisdom and value among the generations! I am so grateful I get an audio version too. I liked this narrator but I love Brittany Presley. Thank you for another beautiful story. I wish it didn’t have to end.

He said never - what happened?

I love Ruth Cardello’s books but this one was lacking on many levels. It was slow getting into the story. The story and the characters got good in the last 5 chapters and you didn’t want it to end. Then there was no epilogue. Nothing to know what happened to Riley and Gavin and nothing to look forward to with Cal or Jarrod. Missed opportunity to leave me wanting more.
And while I enjoyed the female narrator, the male narrator was not the voice of an Alpha male.
I hope the next book, if there is one, will be better.
