I would have loved duet narration but I loved the accents used by both narrators and it was just exceptionally well done. I already loved the book from reading it but I absolutely loved the audio as well. Great job!

Absolutely Beautiful

This is maybe one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard, and would recommend it to anyone who likes weird jokes and laughing themselves to death from listening to three best buds fall apart with random topics and games! Would always rate this a five star, 94 out of 100, nearly perfect in the world of podcasts. 😂🤩😆🤣😝

Love the book, kind of hate the recording

I really love this book and first read it in print. Char is hilariously clumsy and awkward except when she’s in front of her computer and I love reading about her dual lives. As a busy mom, I was very excited to see the book available on audible so I could listen to it as well. Now I’m kind of regretting the purchase. The female narrator is decent. She’s not fabulous but doesn’t bother me or detract from the story but the male narrator is awful. I might as well ask my Alexa to read it. He is robotic without varying intonation or expression. It really ruined the guys point of view for me. And they both say OH-possum, which just sounds weird. My only complaint about the book is that Char’s inner monologue, while funny, goes on too long in spots. My advice, definitely read the book but get the print version.

A perfect story

I love this series. I’m still not done with them all, but I keep on reading! This is the perfect book for those who like cats, and I really missed out as a young kid. I first saw this franchise as a roleplay game on Roblox, and then my mom introduced me to the series. I haven’t stopped reading since! I love to re-read these books and I hope everyone else loves these books as much as I do!

Male narrator is amazing!

I really think that the male narrator is an under utilized talent as I haven’t found much else he has narrated because he did an AMAZING job! He handles 5 different main male characters with distinctly different accents (including Irish, British, and Australian) fantastically well AND he really captured their temperaments and attitudes. I wish this book was duet narration because the female narrator, while fine as Nix, wasn’t able to even come close with her versions of the male characters. It made for some jarring listening.

This is a great book, amazing performance, I love how I can connect the pieces between arc 1 and this book (Example: The scavenger in Sunny’s dream is Ivy). All I want now is for Sky and Peril to meet and have some weird kind of awkward family reunion thing, it would be amazing! :D

Love this story, kind of hate the narration

I love this story and reread it often. That alone allowed me to get past the narration and still enjoy it. However Commodore James sounds like he is describing how paint dries in the most god awful monotone whether the characters are taking a shower, having sex, or experiencing strong emotional epiphanies. The female narrator was fine but she was only utilized in the duet narration to read the female dialogue. The noises were unnecessary and distracting rather than adding to the drama. A few of the voices used by Commodore James sounded like muppets rather than men. Also, names were not consistently pronounced between narrators. I would love to hear one of my favorite stories re-recorded by narrators who understand how to tell a story.

Love this story and the whole series! I also love the male narrator. The female narrator is ok but a little to breathy a little too often.
