I genuinely enjoyed this story, for the most part at least. This was an age gap, nanny single dad small town romance. It was really cute but plenty spicy! The narrator was very engaging, even with her more masculine voice. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This book….was absolutely wonderful. It was everything you thought you knew and more.

Ambrosia took the story of Persephone and somehow still made it intriguing, new, and real. This retelling tells of Kore finding herself, of having a loving and devoted, albeit a tad overprotective (but if your father/uncle was Zeus your mom probably would be too) mother, of growing in her power and finding love, her way. I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. The little details, the authors note all heightened the experience.

The narrator did an INCREDIBLE job of bringing this story to life. You felt the character’s emotions and really understood what they were going through and where they were coming from. I also love that ALL of the book was read, from the authors note, pronunciations of words, trigger warnings, and everything in between.

So hot, fun, & full for a novella!

Rowan is amazing. This book was absolutely wonderful. Fun and spicy and full of fully developed characters, nuance and just so much you probably wouldn’t expect from a smutty lil monster novella. The narrator Ruthie Bowles is AMAZING. She’s insanely talented. I had to keep reminding myself that there was only ONE narrator for this project, not a whole cast.

The Most Heartbreaking One Yet!!!

Wow!!! I thought Jessica hurt us before but that was nothing compared to the way she shattered my heart with this one!

The narration really made the story come alive! I felt Des' pain and anger throughout and was 100% along for the ride with her! Initially I was confused about why the narrator changed after 3 books, but it makes sense now and I appreciate the authors foresight to do that. The last 6 chapters or so REALLY Had me on the edge of my seat and I hate that so many of my theories were right. Will absolutely be diving ìnto the next book ASAP.

Holy shit. Wow. This book. It made me feel all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I was aroused. All the important aspects of a great romantasy book. But seriously the author had better make it up to us in book cause I am REEEEEELLLLING after the last few chapters!!!

Oh my goodness! This story was SO good! I didn't expect to like it so much! The way the author grips your attention immediately and throws you off long enough that you never quite guess where she's going made the story extremely riveting! I enjoyed this so much and the narrator was absolutely amazing. She did such a good job expressing emotions of all the characters and making you feel the suspense and anger. I cannot WAIT for the second book cause I need to know what trouble Clio has gotten herself into now.

FMC who isn't super skinny but loves her body anyway ✅
Narrator who understands all the idiosyncrasies the character needed ✅
Hoodoo Heaven is an absolutely AMAZING book. As a Black woman in my 30's, it spoke to me in ways I didn't expect. If I had simply read the book I may have liked it..But listening to it?! Ruthie gives you an EXPERIENCE! The way she fully embodied the main character Gwen is truly a work of art. I simply would not have enjoyed this unforgettable story as much without such an amazing narrator. I cannot wait for her to narrate the future books!! Also I absolutely need books 2-10 NOW 😂.

Not only was the story amazing, but the narration was incredible as well! This is the first time I’ve done immersion reading and I’m so happy I did! Having narration absolutely enhanced the story! This particular narrator is incredible. Her voice is incredibly soothing, while still packing a ton of emotion! Night in His Eyes tells the story of feisty Aerinne, the heir to house Faronne , whose sole mission in life is to kill Prince Renaud of House Montague, as repayment for killing her mother. Little does Aerinne know, The Prince has his own plans for her and the petty house squabble. Night in His Eyes has a badass fmc, enemies to lovers, touch her and unalive vibes, a possessive alphahole, fae politics, and house loyalties. A great fantasy read if you’re looking for a new series to get lost in.
