I usually don’t like werewolf stories but this is my favorite.

I love KM Shea’s books. This is one of my favorites. Good character development. Lots of subtle humor.

I always love KM Shea’s books, but these narrators are fabulous. I can’t wait for her next series.

I loved the story, being a nerdy geek I totally got all the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings references. I loved all the birds names. How did Sariah come up with so many great bird names.

The story was cute. Geared to teens but still enjoyable for adult. It was shorter than I hoped. I wanted it to continue a bit longer. My favorites are still the elven alliance books, but this was a nice afternoon read. I Can’t wait for the next one in the series.

The story started out fine but the use of profanity and excessive use of the F word (15 times in a 60 second period) distracted me so much I skipped ahead to the prologue. I couldn’t listen any longer.

I have read this series twice. This time through I listened to the audible production. The books are refreshing. Not your usual mages. This is magic with a twist. Only mages can learn to read as the written word uncontrolled, has enough power to cause devastating explosions. Commoners cannot control the power of written word, yet Elena, a commoner can speak the words and control the power. In this final book in the series she has become the most powerful mage who ever lived, but even she has her limitations. As threats are uncovered that expose an assassination attempt on the royal family, Elena and Prince Lucas may be the only ones who can stop the plot.

I Was worried when I read that this series had a new narrator. I enjoyed the characterizations of the previous narrator, E.B. Stevens, but Kirby Heyborne melded the voices of the characters well. There was no noticeable differences, particularly in my favorite characters, Newel and Doren, the television-watching satyrs. The book is shorter than I would have liked, and it left some parts of the story hanging. I will be coming back to catch the next part of the adventure in the Dragon sanctuary, Wyrmroost.

Cinder was a great retelling of Cinderella but each book brought more plot twists and complexities. I loved Scarlet. Adored Cress, but Winter brought all the books together to a very satisfying conclusion. I have read it twice since the book came out last week. Loved the narrator, R Soler. She was able to keep all the characterizations separate so I could
tell who was speaking just by vocal inflections. There were a few spots where the accents were a bit over the top but I didn't mind that. I would recommend this book to anyone and gave it five stars.

Great Story

This book has very well-developed, yet human characters. The author has crafted the story so well, that I became involved with the story. As a listener, I felt drawn to, or repelled by every character. They are all real, well-rounded people.
The story builds very nicely. The final 1/3 of the book is so intriguing that I had to listen to the final hours nonstop.

The only flaw in this book is that the main character seems a little dense--she should have figured out the clues earlier in the plot. The book leaves opening for the sequel to wrap up the loose threads left dangling.
This is a great book!

I recommend this book and look forward to the publication of the sequel in 2010.
