Historia
In The Curious Economics of Luxury Fashion, economist and best-selling author Don Thompson offers insights and fascinating examples in discussing the intriguing and fast-evolving world of luxury fashion. Why does one handbag sells for five times the price of another that looks and feels pretty much the same? How does a luxury label justify a runway show costing many millions of dollars, when most of the outfits paraded will never appear for sale? Why are fall fashions shown on the runway in March, and spring fashions in October?

Better Than Great
Revisado: 11-20-21
In the past week I read 3 books on LUXE fashion and/or clothing poverty. This book was the best by far. And now I want to buy expensive shoes.

As someone who is not familiar with any of these Tom subs in the slightest way these books sent me down countless rabbit holes of learning.

Historia
More than 44 percent of Americans admit to losing sleep over stress. And while most of us do everything we can to reduce it, Stanford psychologist and best-selling author Kelly McGonigal, PhD, delivers a startling message: Stress isn't bad. In The Upside of Stress, McGonigal highlights new research indicating that stress can, in fact, make us stronger, smarter, and happier - if we learn how to embrace it.

Not New, but Great
Revisado: 10-16-21
All she did was take the aspects and truths of every 12 step program and make them accessible to business minded individuals…
That being said, this book is great, but brand it as what it really is, a deeper look…
This book would’ve been better if it was properly ‘branded’ to the people who need it most, and not Fortune 500 executives/employees.
