Historia
Dante and Blays have a single hope of victory: the Spear of Stars, the long-lost weapon that may be capable of killing the lich. There's just one problem. Though they've learned the spear is real, they've also learned the nine parts of the weapon are guarded by the gods themselves. And they have no intention of handing over their prize. Alone in a strange realm, with no friends or allies, and a growing list of enemies, Dante and Blays' task looks doomed. Yet, they're the last line standing between the lich and the destruction of their whole world.

Historia
Fifty years ago, the nightwalkers appeared, creatures of shadow and darkness, thirsting for blood and death. Thousands died, and the kingdom of Entarna was brought to its knees. Then the Chosen came: six men and women endowed with powers by Amedan, the God of Fire and Light. The Chosen joined with the kingdom’s armies, and together, they managed to defeat the night’s creatures. At least for a time.

Historia
Sherlock Holmes is an unparalleled genius who uses the gift of deduction and reason to solve the most vexing of crimes. Warlock Holmes, however, is an idiot. A good man, perhaps; a font of arcane power, certainly. But he’s brilliantly dim. Frankly, he couldn’t deduce his way out of a paper bag. The only things he has really got going for him are the might of a thousand demons and his stalwart flatmate. Thankfully, Dr. Watson is always there to aid him through the treacherous shoals of Victorian propriety...

Amazing. Exceeded Expectations.
Revisado: 08-20-17
Easily worth the cost - most books that fall within the category of "retellings of the classics with a funny or ironic twist" come off as being sort of...lazy. This book however brings all of the good things you'd expect from such an undertaking while also presenting literary value all it's own. The characters are intelligent, well developed, comedic, and sometimes even deep, even relatable. They are also undeniably British. The plot is dynamic, it builds on itself and twists in all the right places. I really cannot say enough good things about Warlock Holmes. Its Brilliant, init? Hopefully there are many more to come in the series.

Political & Religious Slights Ruin Story
Revisado: 08-12-17
Props to the narrator (although he always does a fine job) but the whole Christians took over and essentially created a Nazi government because they are just horrible, hateful people, thing - sort of tanked it for me. Not because I'm particularly right wing even, Im just over it. Audible can keep the Bobiverse.

Historia
The 1941 Battle of Moscow, unquestionably one of the most decisive battles of World War II, marked the first strategic defeat of the German armed forces in their seemingly unstoppable march across Europe. The Soviets lost many more people in this one battle than the British and Americans lost in the whole of the Second World War. Now, with authority and narrative power, Rodric Braithwaite tells the story in large part through the individual experiences of ordinary Russian men and women.

Outstanding. Must Read for Students of WW2 History
Revisado: 05-15-17
The WW2 generation is dwindling, most have long moved on to be with their comrades. I am deeply grateful to authors like JCM who are documenting these stories before they are lost to us. We need them now more then ever before. September Hope delivers the experience of MG right along with the characters and timeline of events. Outstanding work.

Historia
X Minus One was a half-hour science fiction radio series broadcast from April 24, 1955 to January 9, 1958 in various timeslots on NBC. Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51), X Minus One is widely considered among the finest science fiction dramas ever produced for radio. The first 15 episodes were new versions of Dimension X episodes, but the remainder were adaptations by NBC staff writers, including Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts, of newly published science fiction stories.

Hollywood eat your heart out
Revisado: 01-05-17
They don't write like this anymore. There is more imagination and inspired literary risk taking here then in the last 20 Hollywood Blockbusters, combined. I had forgotten what it felt like to be so utterly intrigued by a setting or plot, it was nice to feel that again.

Previous books have promised to describe the combat experience of the World War II GI, but there has never been a book like Patrick O'Donnell's Beyond Valor. Here is the first combat history of the war in Europe in the words of the men themselves, and perhaps the most honest and brutal account of combat possible.

On Par with Citizen Soldiers
Revisado: 09-07-16
"Sneak home and pray you never know, the hell where youth and laughter go."
All American youth should read or listen to this as a part of their education. Look at America today, have already forgotten what these men fought for? Died for? They shared their stories with the author because they want our generation to remember the war, the horror, tragedy, loss, heroism, brotherhood and perhaps most of all the reason, that very same reason why each and everyone of them kept moving forward...
I feel deep regret at what has been done to this country in the past few years and the fact that these men have to watch it, their sacrifice being squandered by Entitled, Self-Rigtheous, Fools...they deserve better.
