refreshingly new female character

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The main female character won the book over for me. She was unpredictable. I could relate to her and yet not predict her responses. The narrator also helped with her likability.

Did Andy E. Ross and Stephanie Wyles do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Didn't care for Andy Ross so much but Stephanie Wyles was great! Each male character's voice sounded the same. Same tenor, same speed and inflection.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Several points of the book made me laugh. I really liked the way the lead character looked at life and her non filter. Kept the book fresh and unpredictable.

What would have made Manwhore better?

The book was very predictable. Story line was dull and unexciting.

What was most disappointing about Katy Evans’s story?

Her use of words were lame and uninspired.

How could the performance have been better?

I don't know if a better narrator could have made it any better or not. They only have so much to work with.

Suspenseful and entertaining

This book managed to keep me enthralled from beginning to end. Very character had good depth and left a level of emotional attachment. Good twists and turns in the plot to keep me unassuming. Wonderful story I can't wait for the sequel.

What would have made When Summer Comes better?

Less stating of the obvious would have been great.

What could Brenda Novak have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Less predictability and more complex characters.

What didn’t you like about Shannon McManus’s performance?

Very little voice change from one character to the next. Also her reading was too slow.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. I enjoyed a couple of her other books which weren't my favorites but were certainly better than this one.
