Historia
In his most provocative and practical book yet, one of the foremost thinkers of our time redefines what it means to understand the world, succeed in a profession, contribute to a fair and just society, detect nonsense, and influence others. Citing examples ranging from Hammurabi to Seneca, Antaeus the Giant to Donald Trump, Nassim Nicholas Taleb shows how the willingness to accept one's own risks is an essential attribute of heroes, saints, and flourishing people in all walks of life.

A Masterpiece?
Revisado: 08-11-18
This last book of Taleb is a good example of understanding the world and the things going on arround us.
Though this understanding business is consistent with every each view of the righter, it is also ironic that it contradicts with the writer’s main wish of ‘living happily in the world that he-himself does not want to understand completely’ (Quotation from Antifragile- And it is obvious that this book is far beyond minimum requirement of understanding for a simple happy life)
So ‘the meaning of the life’ seems to be absent in his work of art, which he seems trying to fill this void with excessive amount of mental effort.
Though i liked the writer’s way of doing this, trying to show some one how to understand the world is useless... Every individual has some level of understanding the world, even the animals have...
So this book is to stay much behind the previoys masterpiece: Anti-fragile.
I recommend the writer to write on something about which the future readers- the only real judges of a book (as the writer puts it)- are going to be able to find the right questions of finding the meaning of life. Because, nowadays, absence of meaning is dragging the world to the most severe crisis of humanity ever...
Something much more usefull than the pure and hard mental work which the writer puts in his books in excessive amonts...
Some work, the writer is going to show his poetic and human side rather then his poor mental genious...
Would be as good as his one single philosophy of antifragility,
if it was to give the future reader the hope of saving the world, by saving the honour of humanity...
Thank you...

Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.

Historia
Waking the Tiger offers a new and hopeful vision of trauma. It views the human animal as a unique being, endowed with an instinctual capacity. It asks and answers an intriguing question: Why are animals in the wild, though threatened routinely, rarely traumatized? By understanding the dynamics that make wild animals virtually immune to traumatic symptoms, the mystery of human trauma is revealed.

Historia
Instead of being merely the receiver of the parents' psychological and spiritual legacy, children function as ushers of the parents' development. Parents unwittingly pass on an inheritance of psychological pain and emotional shallowness. To handle the behavior that results, traditional books on parenting abound with clever techniques for control and quick fixes for dysfunction. In Dr. Shefali Tsabary's conscious approach to parenting, however, children serve as mirrors of their parents' forgotten self.

it was scientifically perfect.
But needs to be improved in terms of story-telling.
narators also should have been someone other than authors.(no one can be accurate when it comes to ones own child/ book/ art etc...)

PURE SCIENCE WITHOUT ANY FUN OR WOW MOMENTS(BORING
Revisado: 04-03-16
i recommend this book for the people who are new at the are.
They may learn simple facts & techniques that will render their well-being & success...
But for the know it all:
(i expected much more than i found in this book.
Though some of the findings were the latest ones of the era, all the topics & facts were the repeats of the past explorations...
(Even budists have been practising that facts by declaring body & mind are one for thoudands of years)
So what is new and groundbreaking is absent in this book...
(You have to reveal a new finding that will change the old habits,if you want to deserve a good reputation for the job you've done: A finding no one knew but will never forget...)
To put simply,
A huge disappointment for the experts of the topic.
