Incredible waste of money.

Historia
In a locked Honolulu office building, three men are found dead with no sign of struggle except for the ultrafine, razor-sharp cuts covering their bodies. The only clue left behind is a tiny bladed robot, nearly invisible to the human eye. In the lush forests of Oahu, groundbreaking technology has ushered in a revolutionary era of biological prospecting. Trillions of microorganisms, tens of thousands of bacteria species, are being discovered; they are feeding a search for priceless drugs and applications on a scale beyond anything previously imagined.

A Fantasy land of Gulliver’s Travels sized ADVENTURE!
Revisado: 11-06-18
I enjoyed the science emphasis of the fantasy story about MICRO-LIFE and the dangers of nature that lurk in that world.
I spent years in Hawaii as a child, and enjoyed using Google to look up all of the plants, birds, insects and such... once I was able to interpret the narrators pronunciation.

AN INCREDIBLY HORRIFYING TALE
Revisado: 10-11-18
Very well written story.
Entertaining tale about a science team that discovers a new form of life after being transported to an open ocean environment in the middle of nowhere.
Unforeseen complications cause one disaster after another, resulting in interpersonal drama between the different personalities on the team.
Very good character development.
Intense emotional roller coaster action that ends with a surprise.
I’d recommend this to scientific & computer nerds and to anyone who enjoys diving. This is the best book I’ve had in quite a while.
I saw the movie, and fell asleep... the book rocks!

Surprise ending, several good twists.
Revisado: 01-20-18
This is a good story that I found myself easily involved in.
The characters were gradually fleshed out, via their emotions. The main character is sympathetic at first. As each character reveal’s their personal motivations, more warts appear.
Nice writing style of gradual pot development.

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

A story about RACISM & fair treatment
Revisado: 10-23-17
The book made me think about recent events concerning institutional racism in our society, fascist groups on the rise and the explosion of nationalism.
As a white southern woman, I have been told my family history... and know that half of the truth is probably missing because of shame over elements of racism.
Re-writing history does not eliminate the duty of all Americans to recognize and deal with inequality and institutional racism.
Until Caucasians accept the responsibility to reach out to all segments of the community and offer them dignity, our country will "circle the drain".
Story Spoilers:
A handwritten WILL left by a dying cancer victim complicates his estate.
The familiy can not comprehend being left out of the will, and fights to observe a more beneficial old will instead. This dispute prompts a trial.
During the trial a "morality play" is eventuality revealed - as the motives for that handwritten will are fleshed out by a long lost brother.

Better than average murder mystery
Revisado: 09-06-17
Interesting character development, a love story with the charismatic superhero & Nasty psycopathic villain character whose voice alternates with the main characters.
Good tension as plot develops surrounding the main characters naiive childhood memories and fears.
Strong women in the story: Main character psychologist, police woman & police lieutenant characters.
Engaging sex scenes & imagery, with interesting subplots.

Raised in the historic southern splendor of Natchez, Mississippi, Penn Cage learned all he knows of honor and duty from his father, Dr. Tom Cage. I plan to listen to this again
Revisado: 06-02-17
The plot is very WELL developed. Many of the historic aspects of the story are very well researched, well written and fairly accurate to my personal understanding.
It is hard for many people to conceptualize the deep South as a nice place, with it mixed bag of racial tension. Just like any other culture, the social world of the south is not all as it appears to outsiders. Social progress is often a PRIVATE thing that goes undefined.
Let's all endeavor to BE PUBLIC in being fair to & LOVING ALL HUMANS. HIDING anything leaves a stain.

Of 2 Gaiman books I have read, both were a bit different. I have put the other down twice. Maybe the third time will be the charm.
