A sequel worthy of its predecessor. Through Darrow's eyes Pierce Brown offers a glaringly naked view of the human race, of social inequality, and the unconquerable human spirit. A protagonist with all of his strengths, flaws, and raw emotions, torn between where he came from and where he must go. With Tim Gerard Reynolds bringing the characters and action to life and no shortage of philosophical threads this story is a roller coaster that makes one contemplate injustice, inequality, and what is truly important in our own lives.

Superb story, one of the best I've read in a long time. Wonderfully narrated, this story pulls you in and doesn't let go. Simultaneously pulling heart strings and stoking outrage, Pierce Brown masterfully takes the reader on a journey through some of the darkest corners of humanity, throwing surprises and twists and turns the whole while.
