Now we are asking the right questions!
Revisado: 11-11-18
Finally the characters are asking the same questions that I have been asking! I’m so excited!
I don’t know why the title is what it is. The other titles made sense, but even though this title sounds like the other titles it doesn’t make sense with the story.
Unfortunately like most of the stories in this series, this book doesn’t stand alone very well, and I have to wait forever for the next book to come out. I would suggest waiting until the next book comes out to listen to this one. Unless you don’t mind being tormented with questions about what will come next.
By this book I’ve gotten completely used to the new narrator. Her accents are still a little weird at times and she is still making some repeats and errors but her strange voices have become part of the characters so I hope they keep her. Just get her an editor.

Good Story despite the Nuns
Revisado: 11-11-18
Even though this story has a bunch of nuns it is still good. I’m glad it’s not the end. At first I thought it was and I was gettin upset because there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered. But it is not the end and I still have hope that the questions I have will be answered. Like more of the books in this series so far, this book doesn’t quite stand alone. So listen to it right after magician’s diary and follow it up immediately with inkmaster’s silence and you won’t notice the issue too much.
The characters are great and getting even better with each story.
The narrator is making improvement but still needs an editor.

Very Good
Revisado: 11-11-18
Now the story is really picking up! This book was great! Without giving anything away I did not see THAT coming (you’ll know what I mean when you hear it.)
Unlike the previous books in this series this one does hold up on its own. Also, you can definite see an improvement in the author’s writing in this book.
The characters are even more awesome. This story really plunges them into your heart and if you aren’t attached to them from the first 3 books this book will really make you love them.
The narrator has improved a little with her accents too but she still desperately needs any editor.

Fun listen
Revisado: 11-11-18
If I was reading this I don’t think I would have stuck with it. As it is, I listened to it at work so that helped me stay committed. This was my least favorite book in the series so far. It was still cute and I enjoyed the story but it did tend to drag a bit. Since the books don’t hold up well individually I guess I was more just hoping this 3rd book would really help move the story along. It does... eventually.
The characters are still kick ass even though they don’t all quite fit in the time setting.
The narrator still needs some work. I’ve gotten used to her voices and not quite there accents but she still makes some editing errors and repeats phrases or sentences. Even so, I hope they don’t change again. A few mistakes here or there is better than a complete narrator change.

Cute story... narrator needs some work
Revisado: 11-11-18
This was cute and I’m glad I discovered this series after it has had so many books out because these books are not full stories. They are more like chapters or acts. They build up to things but they don’t resolve much within themselves. It’s sort of strange if you try to listen to one story at a time but I just immediately started the next one so it seems like I just moved onto the next chapter seemlessly. So that is how I suggest listening to this series, just commit to the whole series and you will enjoy it.
The characters are great and you really start to grow attached to them easily. Some of them don’t fully fit in the time of the book but it really just helps to make them more relateable and doesn’t distract from the story at all. The protagonist is awesome I can’t help liking her more and more. I wish I could just give her a hug and then shake some sense into her so that she can see how awesome she is. Overall I recommend this SERIES not just the book. They are relatent short so just commit to the whole series you won’t regret it.
The new narrator needs to proof-listen to her recordings. First some of her accents are off. Second I don’t really think Matt’s voice should sound like that. (Willy’s is aweful) Third she made some mistakes and some of the sentences or lines are repeated immediately afterward. I don’t know why they changed narrators but for all authors out there I highly suggest sticking to one narrators per series. It’s jarring to get into a series and then suddenly the voices of the characters change.

Fun story but not a stand alone
Revisado: 11-11-18
As a single book this story doesn’t make much sense but if you think of it as a chapter in a larger book it is great. I’m not entirely sure why the author ended this book where she did but just commit to the whole series and it will definitely be worth it. The story is fun. The protagonist is definitely worth all the trouble she gets herself into. She reminds me of that shy friend we all have who somehow doesn’t know how completely awesome she is but can’t help but blow you away with all the strength and cleverness she displays on a daily basis. The time frame gets a little muddled because the main group of characters seem to not be a bit too modern but that doesn’t really take away from the story. If anything it makes it a bit easier to relate to them all. This book was not the kind you can’t put down (or in this case press pause) but it’s definitely the kind that once you do you can’t stop thinking about it.
Now that I’ve listened to all of the books out so far (1-6) this narrator did a good job, she makes very few if any mistakes and her voices for the India and Matt seem to fit better than the narrator for books 2-6. It bugs me when narrators switch before the series is over so I’m left wondering why they switched at all. #Clever #Magical #FemaleProtagonist #DeepFriendship #HiddenTalents #Elizabethan #England #London #mystery #detective #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Amazing!
Revisado: 11-11-18
I didn’t think I liked Donatella but this book completely changed my mind! I want to BE her! Once again the caraval world was beautifully described and made to feel so real that I almost believed it was. The story kept me listening, sitting in the a parked car not wanting to go into the store or into work until I finished this chapter or the next or the next. My one complaint is that I want to know more about the Prince of Hearts!! Can’t wait for the next book!!!

Such a beautiful story!
Revisado: 11-11-18
The author does a great job of describing the beautiful and magical world of Caraval! By the end of the book I almost started believing it was all real. The protagonist is a a strong and capable woman yet so relatable and real. I also appreciated the description of emotions as colors. I have never met anyone who understands how I see emotions as colors but somehow this character does and even though some of her colors differ from mine it was amazing to know that someone understands it.
