Historia
In this thrilling narrative, O’Reilly blends primary, never-before-released interview material with a history that recounts Trump’s childhood and family and the factors from his life and career that forged the worldview that the president of the United States has taken to the White House. Not a partisan pro-Trump or anti-Trump book, this is an up-to-the-minute, intimate view of the man and his sphere of influence.

An interesting inside look into Trump
Revisado: 09-27-19
Finally a book about Trump that is written without any particular agenda. I found it to be a very enjoyable read/listen. So compelling that I finished it in 2 days. I like the Narrator and he did a pretty good Trump impression which I felt added to the overall enjoyment of the read.
I would recommend to anyone who is open minded and interested in finding out about the real person who is Donald Trump instead of all the myths.

Good but repetitive
Revisado: 07-17-19
Overall I enjoyed the book but I found it to be very repetitive....literally repeating blocks of some earlier chapters as though there was a cut and paste mistake during audio editing.

Really enjoyed this book
Revisado: 10-16-18
I don't work directly in a sales job but I do run a business and I found Ryan's take on his career to be inspiring and useful. Much of it is common sense but his approach is entertaining and serves as a reminder of things I can do to improve my own performance in my business. He does an excellent job of narrating the book as well. I read lots of business books and unfortunately a lot of them are very dry and kind of boring...not this one. It's worth a listen in my opinion.

Historia
At long last, America’s most notorious political operative has released his operating manual! A freedom fighter to his admirers, a dirty trickster to his detractors, the flamboyant, outrageous, articulate, and extraordinarily well-dressed Roger Stone lays out Stone’s Rules - the maxims that have governed his legendary career as a campaign operative for four American presidents, from Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump.

More of a long list than a book
Revisado: 06-19-18
This "book" is really a haphazard and often redundant list of 140 thoughts/rules of Roger Stone. While there are some interesting nuggets of wisdom it's pretty obvious that this is really a half hearted attempt at writing a book.
He does have some good insight on politics and dressing appropriately for business and politics. I found the narration to be a good performance.
The book is not terribly long so while it does become a little tedious at the end I still found it worthwhile to listen to as I did gain some knowledge that I did not previously have.
I'm sure Mr Stone is brilliant in the world of Politics. I was just hoping and expecting a little more depth in this book.

Historia
“Well, now I’m committed,” he thought to himself after telling a national TV game show audience that he wanted to ride a motorcycle to Mongolia with his winnings. He felt the fear that commitment always induced in him; he was hoping they might have edited that bit out. Commitments are something he tried to get as far away from as possible, the only other constants in his life being twenty-five years of financial prudence, travel and motorcycle obsession. So there he was, committed to going very, very far on a motorcycle with his meager prize money. Consequently, he spent a winter on eBay and a spring in the garage preparing his $1000 KLR 650 for an uncertain life on the road.

I'm a fan of the Sam Manicom motorcycle travel books and feel like this is a similar type of book. The descriptions paint a vivid picture of what it was really like to travel by motorcycle. I like that the book is read by the author. The accent is occasionally challenging for my American ears but I was able to understand everything...I think.
This will likely be one of the few books that I listen to a 2nd or 3rd time....as I have also done with the Manicom books.
Here's a vote for more motorcycle travel books coming to Audible.

Love Sam's travel books. I've listened to his others multiple times each. This is not just for folks that like motorcycle travel. Anyone who enjoys travel stories should enjoy this book as well. I really enjoy Sam's reading of the book. He has a very soothing voice that helps to make my long commutes in the car a lot more relaxing.

So annoying I couldn't listen for more than 20 min
Revisado: 07-23-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I listen to as many motorcycle travel books as I can. I love the topic and most books I've found on audible have been quite entertaining. This particular author misses the point for me. I prefer to hear about the actual experiences of the travel. Maybe she eventually gets to the point but she spends an annoying amount of time waxing poetic about what a "mile" is. I hardly ever write reviews, especially negative reviews, but I feel like I just had $13 taken from me with nothing in return.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Julie Roundtree?
I listen to a ton of audio books and I've begrudgingly listened to many with narrators that I find annoying but something about this persons voice I found particularly annoying. There's a kind of gravelly quality to it that just grated on me. Perhaps other people will not be bothered by the narration but for me it was a deal breaker. I suggest you listen to the sample first to make sure you can tolerate the narration.
Any additional comments?
Audible needs a return policy. I know they provide samples but sometimes it's hard to judge what a book is really like until you're 20 minutes into it.
