Historia
When renowned painter Mira Novak arrives at Wadia hospital in Bombay after a miscarriage, she's expected to make a quick recovery, and Sona is excited to spend time with the worldly woman who shares her half-Indian identity, even if that's where their similarities end. Sona is enraptured by Mira's stories of her travels and shocked by accounts of the many lovers she's left scattered through Europe. Over the course of a week, Mira befriends Sona, seeing in her something bigger than the small life she's living with her mother.

Truly a must read!
Revisado: 08-02-24
I enjoyed this trilogy so much! I honestly am grateful to have read the whole thing at once and not having to wait for more. That would have been tough! The talent and story behind the scenes of Alka Joshi is worth delving into as well just to know where she was coming from herself. I hope she will continue to write, she brought a part of the world alive for me that I've never known a lot about but am now quite intrigued about!

Historia
It's 1999, and Eira Hart and Ru Tattersall are set up to co-host The Lonely Harts Club, a new late-night radio show to help New Yorkers find love. It's a last chance attempt for both Eira, expert in Celtic mythology and amateur Welsh matchmaker, and Ru, once-hot-shot Aussie DJ, to achieve their New York dreams. The thing is, you either click with a co-host, or you don’t. It’s a bit like falling in love. There’s co-host chemistry, or there isn’t. With the countdown to a new millennium, it feels like the world as they know it is about to end.

Historia
This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

Fun story to follow along to
Revisado: 07-02-24
I felt like the story was fun to follow along with and engaging, not tons of depth but not sure that was the point of this book in the first place. It's a feel good story that has a great ending! Left me with a smile!

Historia
Iris Nightingale is more than okay. She has her life planned out to a perfect schedule. Work, run, sleep, repeat. She spends her quiet Friday nights sitting alone on a bench in the park, trying to push back the memories that no amount of running can help her escape. But one evening, there’s someone else on her bench - Hunter. Tall, wry and infuriating: everything about him gets under Iris’s skin. Little does she know that he's about to upset more than just her routines...

Revisado: 04-24-24
This book being narrated by Rick Bragg truly made this great storytelling journey even better! His Southern drawl that I'm all too familiar with brought me back home. It was filled with love, memories, pride, and a lot of laughs! I have already told so many of my friends and family they need to also listen to it as well. What a gem!!!!

Historia
Paige Layle was normal. She lived in the countryside with her mom, dad, and brother Graham. She went to school, hung out with friends, and all the while everything seemed so much harder than it needed to be. A break in routine threw off the whole day. If her teacher couldn't answer “why” in class, she dissolved into tears, unable to articulate her own confusion or explain her lack of control.

Revisado: 04-09-24
Oh Paige, thank you SO much for writing this book on your life, trauma, and journey as an autistic individual both prior and post diagnosis. I resonate with a lot of your story and it made me feel more understood and not so alone. This perspective is so needed in the ASD community and for those that are neurotypical as well. I wish you the very best!
