Historia
Over Easter weekend 2015, a motley crew of six English thieves, several in their 60s and 70s, couldn't resist coming out of retirement for one last career-topping heist. Their target: the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit, in the heart of London's medieval diamond district. Perhaps not the smoothest of criminals - one took a public bus to the scene of the crime; another read Forensics for Dummies in hopes that he would learn how to avoid getting caught - they planned the job over fish and chips at their favorite pubs.

not much to say. Boring, predictable, terrible end. I kept waiting for something to happen. Not recommended

If you haven't started it, don't

If you don't mind being treated like an absolute idiot, who needs every detail and plot twist (very few of these) spelled out as though you have the comprehensive ability of a new born tree sloth, I highly recommend you dive right into Jordan's lengthy saga. The writing style is frustrating at best. Every character is argumentative and resistant towards any actions that lean towards common sense. Literally every character is interchangeable in their thought process and behavior. Jordan seems to think all readers/listeners are as "wool headed" as the characters he has created; therefore the book is full of awkward monologing, characters explaining things to one another that are clearly just intended to inform readers. It is almost laughable. I am boggled that the editors of this book sent it to publishing with so many repetitive words, phrases and the over abundant use of names. The writings of Stephen King or JK Rowling, make Jordan's work seem as artful as the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar. I gave it 2 stars because Jordan does show some imagination in the world he creates, the forces of evil, and mystical One Power. The fact that the bones of the story are creative and fairly unique makes the writing style and character development that much harder to stomach. If you are looking for a good Fantasy, I recommend The King Killer Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, or the Dark Tower by Stephen King.
