Lots of machine gunned proverbs

Short shallow words of wisdom with a few golden nuggets here and there. Very relaxing read. Its worth the time to listen but not as actionable as cognitive behavioral therapy books.

You'd pay big bucks to get this exact same information from a therapist. Although the delivery would probably be smoother. Narration was dry and monotone.

The book is not a silver bullet but it offers some great items for your tool box.

A good story.

The story is very good. Suzanne Collins is a wonderful writer. The story contains lots of songs, delivered as lyrics only, obviously. They don't fit well in the audio book. They'll probably be great if it makes it to the big screen. The narrators attempt at conveying the songs is atrocious. He wasn't the best choice for this book.

Action-packed account of the coming Civil War

Great story read by a fantastic narrator. Ava goes from one perilous predicament to the next. My head didn't stop spinning from the time I started reading it.

The saga is written from a Christian, conservative world view. And while no one seems to be bothered that all the characters on prime time TV and in Hollywood movies are far-left atheists, this does seem to trigger a need for a safe space in some folks.

This is not the book to listen to at bed time! The threats addressed are very real and might keep you up at night.

What did you love best about EMP Survival Box Set: Seven Cows, Ugly and Gaunt?

I feel like I know the characters personally, the action is non-stop, and all four books are chock full of preparedness tips.

I appreciate the hard-hitting story line which pulls no punches yet manages to do so with out the gratuitous profanity present in some many books of this genre.

What does Kevin Pierce bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kevin Pierce is a master storyteller who brings the characters to life and adds an entire extra dimension to the series.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The post-apocalyptic event that could happen tomorrow. If the lights go out, will you survive?
