Historia
His name is synonymous with high-stakes wilderness survival stories. Now, beloved author Gary Paulsen portrays a series of life-altering moments from his turbulent childhood as his own original survival story. If not for his summer escape from a shockingly neglectful Chicago upbringing to a North Woods homestead at age five, there never would have been a Hatchet. Without the encouragement of the librarian who handed him his first book at age 13, he may never have become a reader.

A flash through a man’s life
Revisado: 12-04-24
This is a high speed book to a MAN’s life. It is very well narrated and the author keeps a good steady pace all the way through.

The narrator was perfect and could not have done better
Revisado: 06-17-24
I will say the book was predictable, but that was OK. It had a quick cadence. Lots of action. It was a good book to get away from it all.

Historia
Farmer Giles of Ham did not look like a hero. He was fat and red-bearded and enjoyed a slow, comfortable life. Then one day a rather deaf and short-sighted giant blundered on to his land. More by luck than skill, Farmer Giles managed to scare him away. The people of the village cheered: Farmer Giles was a hero. His reputation spread far and wide across the kingdom. So it was natural that when the dragon Chrysophylax visited the area it was Farmer Giles who was expected to do battle with it!

Atheistic but interesting
Revisado: 05-26-22
Well developed characters very interesting story and one of the best narrations I’ve ever heard.
That being said the story does remove God from our creator and makes matter the creator. A spin on fast evolution.

Full of foul language
Revisado: 09-07-20
So I started this book right at the beginning there was a lot of foul language. The story seemed interesting but I really just didn’t want to hear it and there wasn’t really any purpose to it. Sir Conan Doyle wrote intelligently and thought-provoking.

Historia
The difference in their uncanny eyes could not be easily discerned. In the rays of the setting sun, both Aravel's and Morlan's eyes appeared gold. In the pale moonlight...yellow. Seemingly the same. Such inscrutable likeness is the way of things with identical twins. But all who knew the two brothers well noted unmistakable differences, peculiarities more experienced than seen.
