What did you love best about A Christmas Carol: The Unabridged Classic Narrated by Chandler Craig ?

Lovely to listen to - just what Dickens should be!

What does Chandler Craig bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does voices really well, all diverse, none annoying. Splendid!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Jacobi doing Tolkien should be the best thing in the world. Unfortunately, this is interspersed with jarring, tinny sounding "Jingle Bells," for no reason, every few minutes. It's like an insane person, who had no idea who Tolkien is, or who Jacobi is, thought "I know what will make this more festive! Let's plaster it with tin-can Christmas music everywhere we can!" It's very distracting and crazy-making, and really detracts from an otherwise lovely story and performance.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the glimpse into Tolkien's domestic life.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

Everything. Jacobi could read the alphabet and it would be gorgeous.

Could you see Letters from Father Christmas being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Absolutely not.

What did you like best about The Wind in the Willows? What did you like least?

The narrator is fantastic; for some reason Mole has a whiny, shrill, VERY American voice that is abrasive and hard to listen to. It shreds the otherwise lovely story and makes in nearly unlistenable.

What did you like best about this story?

A wonderful story, a family favorite.

Would you listen to another book narrated by David Thorn?

Yes, if whoever did Mole's voice wasn't involved.
