I’d swear Jessica Bird (aka JR Ward) looked into her crystal ball and said ‘oh, yes, she’ll want to read this book.’
Tremendous amount of romance, loaded with anticipation, a good amount of pay off and dabbled with suspense. Always enjoy serial killers, and I was very happy to have her overtones wave over one. There are some clichés thrown about- did it distract from the story? Not an inch. And if anyone is allowed to do them, it’s The Ward-en. I’m a lifelong fan of her work and I can’t see ever getting tried of her lyrical genius.

It's been a while since I last listened to the a Lord's of the Underworld and dived back in with The Darkest Touch. I was not disappointed. This books submerges you right back into their world. Love the twist that Gena Showalter weaves into this book.

Much better than the first

I thought the first was okay. Good, but normal. This one had me binge listening. The only annoying part was the couple from the last book being so cheesy, but since I'm pretty sure that was intentional by the author- get over it and listen to this book. Can't wait for the third and fourth to come to audiobook! Thank you!
