The other reviews here aren’t fibbing. This was a great ride. Super smutty steamy scenes and big twists and turns. My first time reading anything by this author or hearing either narrator, now I am on the hunt for more.

I’m a somewhat uncultured American. The narrator has an accent that hard for me to place/handle at times. Sometimes the story was a little frustrating if I got caught up in the bit of gaslighting that’s so popular to condemn. But it all grew on me and the times it was so over the top like a satire were the best times! I have to admit that I loved this storyline and the narrator. I actually had lol moments. Now, I want more.

I love Molly Harper and the worlds she creates. If there was a theme park version of Half Moon Hollow or Mystic Bayou, I would be the equivalent of the most extreme Disney Adult. I love every book she’s delivered, just be careful, you will get sucked in too. :)

If you liked Catch-22 and you love history, this is for you. Some real life absurdities and bureaucracy of war, and unbelievable adventure. You’ll laugh, you will be hit in the feels, you will be glad you read this book.

This was amazing. I may be right in the target demographic for this book, but anyone that’s had a best friend will inevitably relate and think about all their own stupid jokes. It’s wonderfully written, hilarious, creepy, perfect. I’m so glad I gave it a try at random.
