Historia
Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

when I started reading this book I didn't realize how long it was until about 3/4 of the way through lol. it flew by and the voice actor is absolutely far too good at his job it is a wild but cozy ride and I'm fully hoping that there's another one the author is an amazing author and writes well and always seems to get a chuckle out of me. would recommend this book 110 out of 10

Historia
For as long as she can remember, Doric has felt alone. Abandoned by her human parents, she wandered for years before being taken in by a community of Neverwinter Wood elves. But her horns and tail proclaim a tiefling heritage, and even among the kindest of elves, her fledgling druidic abilities mark her as different from the rangers around her. And as humans begin to encroach farther and farther into the once pristine woods, Doric knows she needs to master her druidic capabilities if she is to be any help to her adopted family.

Classic Tiefling/Druid Story
Revisado: 03-14-23
I felt this was a joy to read! It was short, but fun. And though I'm sure the basics of the story have been done before, it feels familiar and comforting. I'm intrigued by how this will relate to the movie as well.

Historia
Worn out after decades of packing steel and raising hell, Viv, the orc barbarian, cashes out of the warrior’s life with one final score. A forgotten legend, a fabled artifact, and an unreasonable amount of hope lead her to the streets of Thune, where she plans to open the first coffee shop the city has ever seen. However, her dreams of a fresh start filling mugs instead of swinging swords are hardly a sure bet. Old frenemies and Thune’s shady underbelly may just upset her plans. To finally build something that will last, Viv will need some new partners, and a different kind of resolve.

Historia
When Lachlan, the golden prince of faeries, is transformed into a fox and banished from the forest on the eve of his mother’s funeral, the last creature he expects to seek help from is a human. But Sorcha Darrow is not so easily enchanted by the wily faerie. Only after discovering her father means to marry her to a wealthy Londoner does she decide to help him, seeking the power of a being even Lachlan is wary of: a kelpie.

Sorry, Not Interested in the Sequels
Revisado: 06-15-21
So first off I would like to say I absolutely loved the narrator's singing. It was unexpected and intensely beautiful, but unfortunately the story does not match this. I am not sure where the "gothic" part of this fairy tale comes in, but there's far too much non-consensual touching in here, and that's more than just "dark". The main character has to practically choose whether the faerie or the kelpie will have their way with her for the entire story. She flip-flops back and forth between secretly wanting them to take advantage of her and thinking that they're monsters for doing so, and flip-flops over which one she actually loves. All in all, there were certain elements to this story that made me want to keep listening, such as the scenery descriptions, minor world-building, and basic folklore, but I will definitely not be moving on to Book 2.
