The stories are so raw but beautiful. You gain and huge understanding for families who are either in Palestine or immigrated to the US in hopes for a better future. The stories sit with you and I’m so thankful to have picked this up to listen to. 🍉

Absolutely brilliant

As a lover of video games, every few chapters this book had me searching the main characters and the games to see if they were real or not. This story does an amazing job with placing fictional and nonfictional elements together and creating such a beautiful story. I couldn’t get enough and can’t stop recommending this to others to read next!

Too much ugh

I get the authors are die hard feminists, but hearing UGH after every single time they say the word patriarchy it gets old very fast. While I am one who supports equality between men and women after the 12th ugh had me lose interest completely in the book.
