Historia
God is born in human form. Ultimate power and authority reside in the hands of a child. Early Christians looked at their own children as they played, argued, loved, and fought and wondered what it would have been like to raise the son of God. How would Jesus have acted as a baby, a toddler, a child, or a teenager? How human was this “God-child,” Jesus? Did he have the failings of their own children? Was he selfish and rash at the age of one? Was his stage of the “terrible twos” as horrible a stage as most? If Jesus were a normal youngster what would the outcome have been?

Couldn't tolerate the narration
Revisado: 11-12-22
Just wanted to enjoy the content in a pleasant reading voice. Was thrown off by the reader tying to do character voices. Sounded like reading a children's book and was too distracting and irritating. I will avoid any narration by RB3 Audio Solutions going forward. I couldn't appreciate the content because of the narration.

Beth Moore has believed in God all of her life. She has been dedicated to teaching others to believe in Him as well. But as an adult, she came face to face with the single most important question as she meditated on a passage from Isaiah.

I love this book!

Would you listen to Believing God again? Why?
I listen to this book over and over again. It absolutely delivered a true belief in the scriptures I had previously known. This book is inspiring and most definitely strengthened and expanded my belief in God!

Historia
The second part of Peterson's momentous five-volume work on spiritual theology, Eat This Book challenges us to read the Scriptures on their own terms, as God's revelation, and to live them as we read them. With warmth and wisdom Peterson offers greatly needed, down-to-earth counsel on spiritual reading. In these pages he draws readers into a fascinating conversation on the nature of language, the ancient practice of lectio divina, and the role of Scripture translations.

Good message but lost me with the writing style
Revisado: 09-03-12
What would have made Eat This Book better?
If the writer wrote more simply. Sentences were too wordy.
If you’ve listened to books by Eugene H. Peterson before, how does this one compare?
I have not listened to this author before and probably would not listen to any of his other books because of his writing style.
What aspect of Grover Gardner’s performance would you have changed?
I love the way Grover Gardner narrates. His performance is probably the only reason I hung in there as long as I did with this book although I eventually I just lost interest.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
From what I could get through the writing, the message was good but as I said, it was just hard to follow.
