I couldn’t stop listening. The main character, Peggy is so relatable. From the first page, I couldn’t wait to hear what would happen next! Throughout the book, I rooted for Peggy and celebrated her accomplishments. The author has definitely created a character that draws you in and makes you love her.

Absolutely love this series. The author pulls you in with her character development and drama. She really makes you care about the characters and what happens to them.
Being from Farmington,NM and familiar with the area, there were some things that were off. Although the author seems to be familiar with the area, she left me with questions. Why does Bella’s family consider it such a journey to go see her? Why do they need to stay over? We regularly go to Durango for dinner, shopping, etc and then go home. Farmington to Hermosa is 60 miles. Farmington to Durango is 51 miles. Takes about an hour, 1.5hrs tops to get to either place. The narrators did a great job overall but left me wishing they’d researched proper pronunciation of the towns.

Overall the story was a good one. However, the character refers to herself as a liberal and there are non stop complaints about gun control, border patrol agents, and how Mexican immigrants are treated. I’m one who listens to books during my work day as a means to escape stress. If I wanted to hear political views, I’d just listen to CNN.

Dissapointed. The narrators just don't make me want to care.....The male kind of droans. After restarting this book multiple times over the last two days and realizing I'm still only half way through chapter 4 (of 71 chapters), I'm giving up. The description and reviews of the actual book still sound interesting so I may just go get the book in hard copy. I generally listen while I work.
