Absolutely amazing, as per usual, overall one of the best books I've ever read. only had now because o have to wait for the next one, that and Gary.... but no spoilers.

good but...

Not as good as previous series, both this and the last book were sub par, good but felt like a child's point of view not an almost college age young adult/teen's point of view. Story just felt kinda clunky compared to the build up series. I get it's supposed to be kind of a short story to kinda back fill is in on what happened to the Percy gang while Apollo was out there mortaling it up an getting his godly but kicked an insulted, but just didn't feel like it did the originally trio the Justice they deserve and the rest of the demi god gang as well. Still enjoyed the story but the beginning was fairly dry and it felt like it took me longer to finish this short book then it does too a non twice as long.

Another amazing chapter in the he who fights monsters series!!

Absolutely loved this book as I loved the first 9 that came before. The characters are beyond amazing, developed so well, with the best development arc I've ever read. The only down side is it's over an I have to start waiting for the next one again.

So glad to have a Percy Jackson book, so many I've been with the Percy Jackson books since I was a teenager myself and it's awesome as an adult to still be reading and loving the same books through audible. my biggest complaint though is that the book was just so small, they accomplished a lot in the time but coming from the series that usually averages between 12 and 16 hours for an audiobook to be just over 7 is a little disappointing. Admittedly I'm not that disappointed because I know that there will be more books to come, but I also feel that there was a lot that could've been added or embellished in the book. was really hoping there would be more fat to chew per se, hoping that it covered more time in the story so that we might get the chance to meet more of the other characters that we've come to know and love, hoping that comes in the next set of books, also hoping those books are longer as well. Overall just super happy to have the Percy Jackson series back especially after the letdown of the Nico and will solace book that kind of flopped in my opinion. Mostly because it's blatantly evident Rick Riordan didn't write that one his co-author did...

love this book beyond reason! I've listened and read this book so many times it's mine boggling but I still live it like it was new every time. really really really really really needs to be back on audible, I had on my old account but won't let me buy it in this one 😭😭😭😭

Hit & Miss

As always I really love anything in the Percy Jackson world, that being said though you can truly tell this was not written in any way by Rick Riordan. It was truly disappointing to see the complete lack of overall thought into the book, really feels like someone else's attempt at writing and Rick Riordan style in the Percy Jackson world. The learning about Greek mythology took a major back seat in the plot. They completely just dropped off about what happened to damasen after they didn't find him at the hut, there was absolutely no closure for that thread. The whole inclusive thing seemed to be a real forced theme where as in the previous books it was there and accepted but not the entire theme of the book. IDK it just didn't feel like a Rick Riordan book. The writing style, the plot, the thing everything, it just wasn't bad, it's just not what you expect when you've read 30+ Rick Riordan books, and it left me feeling disappointed and with a wanting or need for closure. Feel like it will be the only Rick Riordan book I will never re read, it's just not worth it and adds nothing worth reading to the series. Can't wait for "the chalice of the gods" though!!

perfect bedtime story

reads a little fast at normal speed to keep up with page turns sometimes but very nice job overall. kiddo lives this one
