A complete works
Revisado: 09-20-24
It is a complete works. Thank goodness the chapters are marked. I don’t care for the way it was read. It made for a great bedtime story as it triggered napping.

Historia
When Max Marshall arrived on the campus of the College of Charleston in 2018, he hoped to investigate a small-time fraternity Xanax trafficking ring. Instead, he found a homicide, several student deaths, and millions of dollars circulating around the Deep South. He also opened up an elite world hidden to outsiders. Behind the pop culture cliches of “Greek life” lies one of the major breeding grounds of American power: 80 percent of Fortune 500 executives, 85 percent of Supreme Court justices, and all but four presidents since 1825 have been fraternity members.

So painful to listen to!
Revisado: 12-21-23
A bunch of rich white boys getting away with drugs, rape, weapons, and all manner of charges. One dies another goes to jail but in the end they’re still getting away with it. (Put into a youthful offender prison when he’s too old?!)
This story only serves to show how skewed the legal system is when you have money. Otherwise, it doesn’t deserve recognition.
These boys deserve death for all they’ve done not book rights. This is getting returned. So sorry I download it.

What happened to Islamic reform? Why have al Qaeda and Boko Haram become the faces of contemporary Islam? Why has the Arab Spring devolved into a battle over sharia law? Continuing her personal journey from a deeply religious Islamic upbringing to a post at Harvard and American citizenship, the New York Times best-selling author of Infidel and Nomad crafts a powerful call for an Islamic reformation as the only way to end the current wave of global violence and repression of women.

You don’t have to agree, just listen
Revisado: 02-06-21
This is one woman’s point of view on the matter. She is analytical about the topic and stays logical despite how close she is to the topic, which for me gives her credibility.

Historia
This powerful story of passion, adultery, honor, and repression caused a tremendous controversy in 1850 when it was published, because of its provocative subject matter. Set in Puritan New England, the novel begins with Hester Prynne, a young woman with an illegitimate baby daughter, leaving prison to face her scornful townsfolk. Forced to wear a scarlet letter "A" to remind people of her adultery, Hester obstinately holds her head high and refuses to reveal the father of her child.

Classic tale
Revisado: 11-02-20
Be aware, the chapters in this version of the audiobook do not aline either the chapter markings in the recording. (Meaning narrator will read “chapter 3” (for example) but it will be five minutes or so after the chapter marking for the audiobook.) setting sleep timers is useless.
The book is great.

Historia
Each of us has but one life to live on this earth. What we do with it is our choice. Are we drifting through it as spectators, reacting to our circumstances when necessary and wondering just how we got to this point anyway? Or are we directing it, maximizing the joy and potential of every day, living with a purpose or mission in mind? Too many of us are doing the former - and our lives are slipping away one day at a time. But what if we treated life like the gift that it is? What if we lived each day as though it was part of a bigger picture, a plan?

Same info new version
Revisado: 09-07-19
Though this information has been published many, many times before, it is still valid. I'm not saying this book is any better/worse than any previous iteration of the material. Just be aware, you don't have to drink the Michael Hyatt Cool Aid to get the results you want. I recommend getting, or borrowing, a hard copy of the book as it is easier to work from than an audio recording. The performance: ugh. The book is ready by the authors as they wrote each section to be stacked next to each other. Each time Daniel speak "I, Daniel..." Each time it's Michael's turn, it's just his turn and you just recognize the change in voice. Surprisingly, this is exactly how the book is written. A bit irritating but doesn't take too much away from the message.

Well, everyone has their own vice. I guess there are worse things to get addicted to, though this seems to be just as dangerous for the body and just as hard to get a hold of as illegal drugs.
