I honestly don't know where to begin. Put it this way, my Beagle went on a lot of walks as I couldn't wait to hear to what happened next! This is compulsive listening for any 80's music fan. As a music loving teenager in 80's London, I had first experience of dancing around my handbag at the Hippodrome, Busby's, Camden Palace and Stringfellows to Wham (I was at the Wham final concert at Wembly Stadium) and Spandau (finally saw them perform in LA about 6 years ago). I loved reading about Shirlie and Martin's love story and the Wham boys in the teen mags. And 30 plus years later, I have a real understanding of what really went on behind the curtains. Brilliant idea to share a love story and I so want to be Shirlie's best friend. Beautifully written. Beautifully read. They both paint a very colourful and poetic and also at times tragic picture of their lives. Thank you so much for penning this story. I respect your honesty and will forever enjoy your stunning music, voices and acting. Please go on tour again!

Hayley Mills possesses a natural gift for story telling. She creates such a beautiful, poetic and sometimes tragic memory of her youth and early 20's that it's as if you were physically with her. As a huge admirer of her movies, her soft voice is just mesmerizing. I did not want the book to end. I wish she had continued her life story beyond her first born and relationship with Roy. She spoke her story with such fervor and passion, I was disappointed when it ended. Waiting for volume 2 Hayley! Thank you for a beautiful, insightful and spiritual read.

As an expat living in Cali for a few decades, I was skeptical. But I couldn't turn this audio off. Well penned, poetically written, heart wrenching in some areas, a true spiritual awakening in others and all together captivating. I am a royalist. I grew up watching our beloved Queen's speech every Xmas on the box with the family and I assumed so much about Harry's life. I loved hearing his side of the story. It made me homesick for British humour. Sounds like Harry's adored mum is smiling from above. He has made her proud.

As a teenager growing up in 80s London, I like many of my great taste in music peers was obsessed with Duran. Great pop, happy music. Good looking lads. I always wondered how the band started. Listening to John's voice and the way he tells his story is magical in every way. He is detailed and yet respectful of past relationships and his ex wife. He really answers all of the obvious questions. Where did they meet? How was the fan hysteria? Why did his re/ship with Amanda not work? Fatherhood. Other band members. Musical inspirations. Disappointments. Life in LA. His stories evoke emotions of laughter, tears (the passing of his parents) and more importantly, John takes you back to feeling like a music fanatic teenager again. Priceless.

Wish Minnie will pen another book about her life. She tells her life in an easy listening captivating manner. I liked this book because it was relatable. I've had the pleasure of interviewing Minnie Driver throughout her career (on movie junkets/set visits) and she never disappoints. She is not only gorgeous in person, a natural talent, but uniquely different, articulate and very witty.

Since residing in the US as a TV correspondent for the UK for over 25 years, I've always had a fascination with Katie Couric's career. She is an excellent interviewer and not only knows how deliver the juice but instinctively knows how to squeeze the juice out of her subjects in a non threatening way. I admire her talent and tenacity and after listening to her enthralling memoir, I have even more respect for the resilient journalist who has had to tackle her fair share of untimely loss under a microscope. Katie's so honest, that it sometimes feel uncomfortable (in a good way). I adore the lady. She delivers her smartly written book with barbaric panache. She's very funny. (I laughed out loud on a numerous occasions). I do miss watching her on the box every morning (which was when my tv career was taking flight). No other journalist/personality has ever replaced her. Just a bunch of knock offs. I especially enjoyed the book where she showed her vulnerability and detailed her romances, which made her relatable. A must purchase!

As a journalist, I've had the pleasure and believe me it is always a pleasure of interviewing McCon over the past 20 years on the movie junket circuit . He never disappoints. I've listened to a lot of autobiographies and this one is the most outstanding, entertaining, insightful, engaging, spiritually elevating, mind provoking (yes all this one package) and of course laugh out loud audible ever. Period. 7 starts McCon. Utterly brilliant. Just wish it was longer. Please write a follow up.

What disappointed you about Home?

I really wanted to love this book as I adore Julie Andrews. But it was painfully slow to the point where I was skipping large chunks. She gives too much detail over really uninteresting facts like what she ate in a restaurant in 1958! Who cares? And how a talented blind woman taught her how to clean a room with four brushes. I wanted to hear more detail about her career and with almost 2 hours to go I'm still not at The Sound of Music. Sigh.

What about Julie Andrews’s performance did you like?

She has the perfect voice! Her performance kept me interesting.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

After reading Tina Fey's clever banter, insightful anecdotes and hilarious anecdotes, Amy's book just did not deliver. She is too vulgar and not very funny. I didn't laugh once. Her stories were uninteresting and emotionally immature, like the time she lost interest in a 'hot' guy talked incessantly for about a half an hour, because he was a hoarder. She constantly defends and apologizes for so called bad behavior and that she has only had one 'one night stand' because that involved penetration so the other encounters involving oral sex didn't count. The only interesting chapter was about her relationship with her parents and how she felt about her parent's divorce. This showed an honest emotional side. Another thing which put a bad taste in my mouth was when she criticized the Press and how she detested the 'tedious' interviews to publicize her then unknown self in Trainwreck. Surely she should be thanking the Press for putting her in the public eye and allowing her to grace magazine covers and rake in the dough?

Where does The Garner Files rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I found this book refreshing, brutally honest -ie, his love/hate relationship with Steve McQueen and unique. It is in unique in the sense and unlike other bios, that at the end of the book, his significant friends, family and loved ones share a heartfelt anecdote about Garner in their own words. It was so touching to hear how his wife Lois recounts the day they first met, (which made me smile as her recollection was slightly different and more detailed than Garner's one). He truly loved his wife. He also lists and recounts his experiences on every feature, TV show, mini series and made for Tv movie at the end of the bio.

What did you like best about this story?

I've always been interested in James Garner and had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, but as he was such a private man, I really didn't know much about him. I learned of his impoverished childhood and how he faced great adversity as a child and into his adolescence. This built his strong, macho, grounded and loyal character. I especially loved his honesty in this book. He raves about working with Julie Andrews and my personal favourite Doris Day. Although he doesn't go into too much detail about the two movies he made with Doris. The only chapter I skipped was his chapter on Golf.
