I was interested in the story and the performers.

I was extremely shocked and disappointed in the ending that seemed to evolve into science fictionw, not a realistic ending.

Historia
Stiles Island is a wealthy and exclusive enclave separated by a bridge from the Massachusetts coast town of Paradise. James Macklin sees Stiles Island as the ultimate investment opportunity: all he needs to do is invade the island, blow the bridge, and loot the island. To realize his investment, Macklin, along with his devoted girlfriend, Faye, assembles a crew of fellow ex-cons - all experts in their fields - including Wilson Cromartie, a fearsome Apache. James Macklin is a bad man - a very bad man. And Wilson Cromartie, known as Crow, is even worse. As Macklin plans his crime, Paradise Police Chief Jesse Stone has his hands full. He faces romantic entanglements in triplicate: his ex-wife Jenn, is in the Paradise jail for assault, he's begun a new relationship with a Stiles Island realtor named Marcy Campbell, and he's still sorting out his feelings for attorney Abby Taylor. When Macklin's attack on Stiles Island is set in motion, both Marcy and Abby are put in jeopardy. As the casualties mount, it's up to Jesse to keep both women from harm.

Good Story
Revisado: 02-04-23
Having watched the Jesse Stone series, I was familiar with the story and appreciated the additions in the Audible version. However, I was disappointed that the story was so brief.

Interesting but Predictable

Thought I would enjoy this book because the story took place in Italy. It was the old story of young woman meets and falls in love with wealthy family and marries the son. Pure fantasy.

Historia
The “Prey” novels by Pulitzer prize-winning journalist John Sandford consistently make the best-seller lists, but they are not for the faint of heart. Featuring Minneapolis Lieutenant Lucas Davenport, these thrillers are raw, graphic, and impossible to put down. In Eyes of Prey, a depressed and unfocused Davenport takes on a macabre case, tracking down a serial killer who maims the eyes of his victims after he has murdered them.

Too Much Violence
Revisado: 12-18-22
I haven't read a John Sanford book for a while and maybe I don't recall the details as well, but I found this book much too violent for my taste and have no interest in reading any additional works by this author.

Too Familiar a story and predictable until the surprise ending. I have been a fan of Mr. Patterson's for years but this book was a disappointment and did not hold my interest until the surprise twist at the end.

Historia
Leonardo da Vinci created the two most famous paintings in history, The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa. But in his own mind, he was just as much a man of science and engineering. With a passion that sometimes became obsessive, he pursued innovative studies of anatomy, fossils, birds, the heart, flying machines, botany, geology, and weaponry.

Unique Perspective
Revisado: 11-13-22
The most memorable part of this book reveals the workings of Leonardo's mind. In an attempt to give life to his subjects, he drew many poses of a figure, one on top of the other,
until it reflected life itself.

Enjoyable and Exciiting
Revisado: 02-05-22
I was attracted to the book because I had watch the interviews with the authors and am a big fan of James Patterson. I was curious to see how two very different people could write together and they were successful in doing so. Audible gave me the sensation of being a part of the story. I felt l knew the president and Augie. The exciting interaction of all the people trying to guess the code to stop the virus in time kept me listening until they guessed it. Of course, there is an interesting twist to the story that surprised me.
