Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Historia
Listen, having kids is great, my little Gigi Collins and Pete’s daughter Hannah are sweet little fluffs of cotton candy, spun from the silk of fairy spiders who live in the clouds. But man, can they cause trouble. Seriously, you’d think a two-year-old couldn’t possibly threaten the very existence of our physical reality, but, well, you know where this is going. So join me and Pete, and Bobo, and of course the man himself, Nikola Tesla, on another spine-tingling, bowel-loosening thrill ride, and remember: bring your adult diapers.

No words
Revisado: 06-16-24
Actually, there are some words, but there’s nothing I can find to adequately describe this experience. I tried to tell my adult kid that he should listen to this series because it was funny, but smart funny. It brought Tesla to life in more ways than just saying he was a brilliant inventor. And all the feels the characters brought made this a wonderful adventure. Thanks for this amazing ride Mr. Dircks. I’ll love it forever.

Historia
Set on a large ranch in rural upstate New York, it’s early days for the eccentric group of people who call themselves "The Zeta Family" - quite possibly the next big cult phenomenon. Our protagonist, Katie, is an aspiring reporter who has decided to infiltrate the compound, and her future success as a journalist depends entirely on her ability to win the confidence of Zeta Doug, the likable spiritual leader of the group. He’s like a cross between Hunter S. Thompson and George R. R. Martin, with a little too much sci-fi in his head and acid in his blood stream.

Loved feeling his love of music
Revisado: 01-06-21
It warms my heart to hear him tell his stories and sing his songs. Nebraska got me through so many rough times, and the rest of his music helped me through life. Makes me wish I had gone to see him in concert, either as a kid, or even on Broadway. Maybe one day....

Historia
Space-obsessed 12-year-old Paola Santiago and her two best friends, Emma and Dante, know the rule: Stay away from the river. It's all they've heard since a schoolmate of theirs drowned a year ago. Pao is embarrassed to admit that she has been told to stay away for even longer than that, because her mother is constantly warning her about La Llorona, the wailing ghost woman who wanders the banks of the Gila at night, looking for young people to drag into its murky depths.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 11-02-20
I loved both the familiar and the unfamiliar of this book. Written glowingly and read beautifully, I appreciated how Paola learned to embrace her culture, much like I did. I hated being brown, and not having money, but later, I understood the sacrifices made by my elders, and I learned to celebrate the beauty of my culture...only it took me much longer than it did Paola. I appreciate the reader knowing the language and using correct pronunciation. This adult got more out of it now than I would have as a child, tween or teen.
