The worst narrator I've ever heard!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Maybe if they had used a different narrator - she completely ruined it for me! Obviously not a native English speaker, she constantly mispronounced words and used the wrong inflection during sentences. Her "different voices" all were the same so it was hard to tell who was speaking. Awful!!

Has The Devil Will Come turned you off from other books in this genre?

No.

Would you be willing to try another one of Maria Elena Infantino’s performances?

Absolutely not - I'll be sure to check to see who the narrator is before I buy my next book from Audible!

The book wasn't horrible, just not great. Unfortunately the narrator made me really hate it.

What did you love best about The Keepers of the Library?

All the historical elements that were woven together.

What did you like best about this story?

How it jumped from the present day, to different times in the past.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Benjamin Franklin was looking up the names of his friends in the books.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the man who owned the farm (can't remember his name) was so distraught when his son was killed. I felt awful for him!

Any additional comments?

I wish this author would write another book in this series, maybe with Will's son being the investigator. The ending of this book was open enough that it would be possible!

What made the experience of listening to Book of Souls the most enjoyable?

The mystery and history surrounding the library!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Probably Will, because even thoug.h he was kind of a dog he was still inquisitive and tenacious

Never listened to this narrator before but he was awesome!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No laughing or crying, just lots of sitting on the edge of my seat.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The ending felt rushed and dumb, like the author was in a hurry to finish it.

Would you be willing to try another book from A.G. Riddle? Why or why not?

Probably not, because even when I was interested in this story it was still a little too out there for me.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes.

Could you see Departure being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No.

What would have made Old Earth better?

An interesting, engaging plot would have helped!!

What was most disappointing about Gary Grossman’s story?

How tedious and pointless the whole thing seemed. I was excited to read about Galileo but that didn't go anywhere.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It kept me listening until the end, mainly because I kept hoping it would finally get interesting!

What disappointed you about Skynoise?

The time travel storyline could have been awesome but wasn't developed.

What was most disappointing about Ernie Lindsey’s story?

Underdeveloped time travel plot.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Nothing special about the performance, it was okay.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Skynoise?

A lot of the "running from the bad guys" scenes got old.

Nothing but drama

What made the experience of listening to Maybe This Time the most enjoyable?

Even though I read reviews saying the listeners didn't like all the drama I really enjoyed it. It was over the top every time but I found it humorous!

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting aspect was probably the situation with Mia and how she tried to trick Reed into a relationship. The least interesting was Jade and her situation.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Reed and Summer first got together.

Any additional comments?

I felt like I had whiplash most of the time listening to this book. Reed would say "We can never be together" and a page later would say "I can't live without you!" He would scare away all the men interested in Summer because she was "his" and then when she questioned him about a girl he was with he said "It's none of your business - you don't own me!"! That got old pretty quickly but luckily he came to his senses early enough that I didn't have to make a doctor's appointment!

Would you consider the audio edition of Mayhem to be better than the print version?

Normally I prefer print over audio because they're easier for me to get into. In this case the story was so engaging and the narrator such a great job I preferred audio!

What did you like best about this story?

Adam, of course - he was incredible!!

What about Andi Arndt and Adam Verner ’s performance did you like?

I thought Andi did a great job with all the different voices, including the men. She really nailed the nuances that come with sarcasm and the self-deprecating thoughts Rowan would have. Adam's performance was one short chapter so I didn't get much of a feel for him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Probably something silly, like "he loves ripe peaches"!!

What would have made Viper's Run better?

A female character with a spine who stood up for herself would have been awesome!

Has Viper's Run turned you off from other books in this genre?

Probably not but I definitely won't be reading anymore by this author.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator did a good job with different voices. The dialog was so bad it detracted from the narrator's performance!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Viper's Run?

I would have changed every scene that Winter was in because she was pretty pathetic!

Would you try another book from Jodi Taylor and/or Zara Ramm?

No.

What was most disappointing about Jodi Taylor’s story?

There was hardly any time travel. The description made it sound like there would be a lot (which is why I purchased it) but the majority of the book focused on the relationships between the characters.

What three words best describe Zara Ramm’s performance?

It was okay.
