Deeply thoughtful and beautifully vulnerable

This book had been on my list to read for a while, but I was having a hard time bringing myself to start it because I believed it would be very sad. After listening to this, I wish I’d had the courage to start sooner – it is a beautiful story of someone sharing, the most wonderful parts of their life, framed by, but not defined by tragedy. Getting to experience the world through the lens of a young person who loved and was loved so deeply, and who had to reckon with too much loss while holding onto the gift of the love, was a true gift. The narration was also beautiful.

My kids and I both love this!

We are huge fans of the series and listen to the books all the time - at naptime, in the car, and even as we follow along with the book. The Audible version is wonderful - soothing but interesting and just the right amount of expressive. The only drawback is that they run only 45 min on audio which means we had to buy a whole bunch. Fortunately we didn’t mind because they’re so great and worth it!!
