If you could sum up Home Coming in three words, what would they be?

Effective neuroscientific healing

What was one of the most memorable moments of Home Coming?

When the child develops wilfulness replying to "give me that" with "no it's mine", you must clap your hands and be happy that your child has reached this developmental step.

What does John Bradshaw bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The audible version is an essential book companion piece, as it contains basically regression meditations and well humored public speeches.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Through the baby regression meditation, I may have found the reason why I feel so lonely sometimes and dependent on love-bomb relationships. Seems like I was left on the crib with no one to hold me up, because I was not crying.

Any additional comments?

If you expose two twins to a long term traumatic childhood experience but for one of the teens you add the interaction with a reliable adult who can comfort him, that one will be saved from being traumatized so badly.

The audio book works based on this theory and using a neuroscientific method to rewrite the meaning of your childhood experiences for something better. Your brain can't distinguish between real and imagined, so if you make up beautiful memories of your childhood were you got all of the missing parenting you needed from a reliable adult and you imagine yourself in that memory, then your brain will believe and act as if that really happened.

Worked for me to get more conscious of my neglect trauma and use my vivid imagination to re-parent myself.

What made the experience of listening to Nutrient Power the most enjoyable?

This book not only shows the scientific evidence that psychiatric drugs only treat the problem, just the symptoms, but also explains how nutrients can really fix the problem, which problems are quickly to fix (like pyrroluria) and which are harder to fix (such as autism).

What was one of the most memorable moments of Nutrient Power?

There are several small sample cases which describe real people who got cured. This makes me think my daughter could be listed there.

What about Richard Allen’s performance did you like?

The narrator lacks in emotion, but yet the book is fascinating.

Any additional comments?

I had a bottle of anti-psychotic drug depakote in my hands, prescribed for my 2 year old girl. But because of this book I got the direction to cure her, read other books, and despite the lack of resources on the subject (I live in Brazil), I did it successfully. Nutrients did not just cure her mind and behavior, but her health also. Before, she had been admitted to hospital several times, including being in intensive care unit 3 times, but after nutrient therapy that has never happened anymore. She is now a very happy 4 year old girl, and I never opened the depakote bottle.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work to be better than the print version?

Yes, because I always prefer audiobooks. No need to read full questionaries and exercise lists though. For those you should buy the e-book version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work?

The four horsemen which can be easily identified to quickly predict if your marriage will fail.

What aspect of John Allen Nelson’s performance would you have changed?

The book is totally ignoring the fact that in some cases the marriage problem relies on psychiatric problems of one or both of the partners and how to work this out. I am convinced that this has been the main reason why I had to drop out of 3 marriages (I must have a crush on depressed girls, but they get uncontrolled).

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Examples of the four horsemen discussions, and how healthy couples react positively to the same problems.

Any additional comments?

As a compliment for this book, you may need to learn more about the effect of nutrition in you mental health. For me, Nutrient Power was the book that opened my mind.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Should have comments about natural treatment (vitamins, diet, herbs).

Has A Complete Look at Anxiety Disorders turned you off from other books in this genre?

I was looking for something short enough.

What aspect of James M. Lowrance’s performance would you have changed?

Would give better motivation if it was not so impersonal.

Was A Complete Look at Anxiety Disorders worth the listening time?

Yes, unless you already have expertise on the subject.

Any additional comments?

That book would make my anxious wife happier to know her symptoms are more normal and less freak than she might think, but she can't read English and the book doesn't give me much of a clue on how to help her.
