If you are nostalgic about the innocence and beauty of To Kill a Mocking Bird then you are about to do a double take...
This book is eye opening and ugly it is set in the 1950's and Scout returns to Home after living in New York City... It is 10 years later and the rug is pulled in every way to Scout everything black is white and white is black...
It is worth listening to as it is a commentary of close mind southern living and to both Scout and I don't like the view!

An impressive collection

To be honest, I greatly enjoy the tales of Edger Allen Poe. I had high exceptions for this however I feel a bit let down. It is not a mater of story it's a matter of the narration. The Narrator in my eyes was unable to hold my attention...
If you are interested in investing 16 hours and chance keep in mind that reading another book at the same time would be highly recommended.

He is a broken man trying to come to grips with an unloving dismissive father and an ex wife wants all and more from Tommy.
This is on of Bellow's sadder tales but worth while and interesting!
Well narrated and full of characters you can't help but relate to.

Wow what a book!

In this wildly creative book we travel and adventure with a linguist named Ransom as he is taken agents his will to world of Mars.
After escaping Ransom meets and interacts with the creatures of the plant learning there ways and language.
This book has great biblical and epic themes it deals with Angels, gods and the absurdity of man.
Should read first as it is the first of three books beautiful narrated and worth your while!
What a book what an adventure!

If a fan of Bellow's work then Herzog is a good book worth the time to listen.
It in its own way a coming of middle age story about a man on the verge of a nervous brake down slowly finding his way through the device of letter writing. Writing to the living, to the dead, to those Famous and those that are or were a part of his life.

Catch -22 is like no other book I have ever read... It is reality, or at least my opinion, that is a book with many other literary tales brilliantly interwoven through out.
It is at times laugh out loud funny and at some points tears at your heart!
The characters are rich and the story in wonderful told!
Narration is good truly on of the most obscure yet beautiful tales of war and survival
Worthwhile!

A very strange, odd, and beautiful novel. A story about a writer who's quest to write about the father of the Atom bomb ends up on a tropical island as one of a few survivors of a science experiment gone wrong... Rich in charter as sort of F you to those who think there is no value in the arts!
There are odd musical interludes between chapters but the narration is great! Should read if a fan of Catch 22.
