This book has many good tips for getting the most important business there is— referrals. However, it feels like very little content compared to the dangle of the next-level upsells of her tiers of coaching. The first is $1000 for 108 minutes of content. Hmmmm. You can’t find out how much the other coaching is until you’ve gone through the vetting process. I was hoping for more after listening to the book. Several good takeaways, but still…

Historia
Back when restaurant menus were still printed on paper, and wearing a mask—or not—was a decision made mostly on Halloween, David Sedaris spent his time doing normal things. As Happy-Go-Lucky opens, he is learning to shoot guns with his sister, visiting muddy flea markets in Serbia, buying gummy worms to feed to ants, and telling his nonagenarian father wheelchair jokes. But then the pandemic hits, and like so many others, he’s stuck in lockdown, unable to tour and read for audiences, the part of his work he loves most.

Poignant, personal, hilarious— a must-listen!!

This audiobook is essential to be heard read by the author. Who else could do his own aged father’s voice with the perfect inflections? Having recently lost my mother, I deeply connected with this humbling account of a family that has truly made the very best out of some difficult (albeit interesting, human) upbringing. I had to look in the mirror once or twice on how I was treating my own children, whether I was putting forth my best… this book took me to task. Thank you, thank you, David Sedaris (aka, Dave Chapelle 🤣)!!! Xxoo
