Well done
Revisado: 01-15-25
Well done! A few of your books pissed me off, but for the most part well done! Really it was more like about six chapters out of three different books.

Historia
The story of Mary empowers us. To many, she is the captive, possessed, enslaved, caught in the midst of crime and tragedy, but at once redeemed, set free, and loved by God himself. She is hope and triumph. She represents the power of truth and love to change the life of the lowest and most powerless of us. She is you and me in search of God.

The book just seemed to repeat itself and not really give any insight. Almost like it was written from Mail religious point of view that did not want to hear what a woman might have to say.

This book is completely pointless .
Revisado: 05-01-24
All of the characters are in the very first book of Dune, so all the plot lines are pointless aside from just drama, and the person who read it is not as good as the whoever read all the other books that I heard from.

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Historia
In this revolutionary book, renowned physician Gabor Maté eloquently dissects how in Western countries that pride themselves on their healthcare systems, chronic illness and general ill health are on the rise. Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug; more than half take two. In Canada, every fifth person has high blood pressure. In Europe, hypertension is diagnosed in more than 30 percent of the population. And everywhere, adolescent mental illness is on the rise. So what is really “normal” when it comes to health?

Overall very helpful book although I do disagree with some of the statements made in the end of the book but at the same time I am no therapist or psychiatrist.

Historia
At the heart of this classic, seminal book is Julian Jaynes' still-controversial thesis that human consciousness did not begin far back in animal evolution but instead is a learned process that came about only 3,000 years ago and is still developing. The implications of this revolutionary scientific paradigm extend into virtually every aspect of our psychology, our history and culture, our religion - and indeed our future.

A bit wordy,
Revisado: 02-03-23
A bit wordy how do use a dictionary, luckily I had read the first couple of chapters years ago and was able to keep up. Yet part of his material is out of date and I hope that people would take it more than just this book when thinking about consciousness or the bicameral mind.
