Gripping Story! I loved it. It probably didn't need the predictable epilog. Overall it was really really good.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

politically biased
Revisado: 05-08-23
this is a right wing conspiracy embellished into a revenge fantasy where some nut job gets to wipe out all his liberal enemies with the excuse that "he's going to die anyway". It's violent, far fetched, and offensive. The military men and women I know would not act this recklessly.
This book is inflamming the rift between the Republican and Democratic parties. Political propoganda that should not be encouraged

abridged with terrible narration
Revisado: 11-18-22
i don't understand the purpose of abridged books. seems stupid to start the unabridged books at book 3. i need to read the books in order and i want the unabridged.
the narrator tries to mask a strong new england accent but it comes out often. Eve is from Atlanta. she wouldn't drop her "r"s like a new englander. it is distracting.
the abridged version makes Logan sound like more of an ass than the regular version. A lot of women, like me, do not understand why someone would like a jerk, so it's hard for me to like Eve. She is supposed to be a strong woman but she allows men to walk all over her and she likes them. To me, this makes her seem weak and irritating.

Historia
Stephanie Plum may not be the best bounty hunter in beautiful downtown Trenton, but she's pretty darn good at turning bad situations her way . . . and she always gets her man. In To the Nines, her cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an illegal immigrant. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word hunter.

this is a fun book, but it's hard to believe a woman would choose a sexist jerk like Morrelli over a sexy superhero like ranger.

Historia
America's favorite bounty hunter is back behind the wheel in her fifth hilarious, high-octane thriller. Out of bail skippers and rent money, Stephanie Plum strikes out on her own. Okay, so a scumball blows himself to bits on her first day of policing a crack house, and the sheik she was chauffeuring steals the limo. But hey, nobody's perfect.

Historia
A best-selling author’s wife has been found dead in a gorgeous black evening gown, sitting at the head of an empty dining table. Her most chilling feature - her face is frozen in a ghastly smile. At first it seems as though a deranged psychopath is reenacting the gruesome murders from the Witch Hunt trilogy, best sellers written by the victim’s husband. But investigator Jessica Niemi soon realizes she’s not looking for a single killer but rather for dozens of believers in a sinister form of witchcraft who know her every move and are always one step ahead.

good but creepy
Revisado: 04-29-21
it was a good thriller, but so creepy i had trouble listening at night.
The way she wrote the down syndrome girl was not right. Children with this disability are able to speak using verbs like "i am" or "you are". If you put a disabled character in a book, it should be more accurate. They also don't suggest murder in a secret plot serious enough to provide a method.
It was also offensive that the narrator used a child's voice for this 17 year old girl.

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Good book, but narrator is lacking
Revisado: 03-29-21
The story starts slow, but turns out very interesting.
The narrator was distracting. He has a weird accent that sounds fake, and sounds bad. If you can get past his accent, it's very good.
