It’s a great storyline and it has its moments where i didn’t know where it would take. Loved the characters and the backdrop of the storyline. I’m an avid audible listener but the music and sound effects are unnecessary for a great book.

I highly recommend this book.

A book that takes place in Austria in 1938 and what a beautiful tale of love family and survival. After years of separation and lives changing comes a story of two people who never stopped loving each other.

Full of twist.

Peter Swanson has a flare with words. He has a way of keeping in the heart of a story. I loved the twist and turns. Characters that are believable. If you like suspense thrillers then this perfect for you. The narrator Eva keeps you captured through the entire storyline.

Great second book.

Santino Fontana is amazing as the voices of Joe and all the other characters. Caroline has a way with pulling you in, laughing at joes quick Witt and down deep inside you get his crazy mind.

I definitely recommend this book and wouldn't hesitate recommending this to my friends. It's a good read full of great twist and turns.

Great book with inspiration & advice

As I listen to the author describe her life, the hints that life gives you that leads you on your path and the advice how to present yourself in a work environment or any true setting, is absolutely golden. This is a great book for a college student or someone ready to change their career. You never realize how someone's insight can truly guide you in your next chapter in life.

Another amazing story

Although these are books of fiction the story has true meaning in people's lives & beliefs. I couldn't put this book down. I recommend anyone who has read the Shack to read this book.

The author has a way of making complex beliefs simplistic and you truly understand the concept of love & sacrifice while dealing with the noise of the world.

Read or listen too it. You won't be disappointed.

Spiritually uplifting

I was given this book years Ago yet I never found time to read it. I purchased the audible book & I absolutely love the story the journey & how the author created a vision we could all relate too and understand. I absolutely love his writing. I have ordered his other books & cannot wait to listen to his stories.
This book is a blessing and the author made sure you felt it in his writings.
Well done & a must read or listen.

Surprisingly good

I was drawn to this book because of the title. First time I've listened to this authors writings and I liked that there were multiple narrators, kept the change of characters in check. I truly enjoyed the characters and manner in which the author shaped his characters & backstory. It had plenty of twist & turns. The final chapter surprised me but not as much as the ending. Well done & worth the listen.
