I knew about him from red carpet pics. And a few of his other projects. His story is moving and inspirational. I do wish he met progressive Christians who are not anti-lgbtqi+. But I do understand why he feels the way he does. Lots of haters in the world. But he didn’t let that stop him and overcame it all. Amazing

I listened several biographies all they all of them contradict this one. Why would they all come to a different conclusion on him being very religious. I prefer to think of him as a man centered on faith, church member and a non drinker. Regardless he was great man and the world owns him a debt. But history should be about what was,not what one wishes it to be…

Recently a partially Deaf guy joined my church. He got me curious about the deaf community. I accidentally found this book and learned allot. It also has me curious to find the shows Nyle mentioned in the book and watch them and perhaps learn some basic ASL from an app. I also enjoyed his life story.

I am often left utterly confused by this new kind of religion - Christian Nationalism.
This book helped me understand them better and gave me hope that not all conservative Christians are signing up for this new sect of Christianity.

I found him annoying. For example he does a lovely mini exorcism when someone confesses they are Gay to him. If that brings you joy this book is for you!
His over all driving point is to get parishioners to lobby the Roman church higher ups to fund professional exorcist in every cathedral because the devil is a threat.
